I’m not that bad am I? Anywayz not an advert for my night, just spreading the good word on places worth checking out in Manchester.
How are yaz anyway, ain’t seen you on the Hard Life forum for a while?
How ya doin mate?
I’m from Huddersfield, but run a hardstyle and techno night in Manchester – Hard Life – down at The Park. From the sounds of it your more down for underground house so our night may be a bit too hard for you, but if you like a dirty underground venue with a dirty underground atmosphere then I recommend The Park as Manchester’s best venue (aside from Sankeys’).
You may be interested in the following night though down there (pasted rest of this from another forum):
Hardhouse ,Harddance, and Drum n baSS on the 30th of October, gonna go with a Halloween theme for this one so

Was (to my shame) reading last months Mixmag and there was an article on this subject. Apparently, they claim the hardest tune ever is a tune by Moby which he made as a piss take which clocks in at over 1000BPM. Personally i think they are mistaking speed with hardness though – a common mistake imo. The two are not the same thing at all. For instance while there is a lot of speedcore out there at the moment a lot of it isn’t actually that hard a beat as some of the hardness is lost when playing at such speeds. OK, its fucking hard, but the ‘slower’ gabba stuff is often a lot harder.
Not one of our nights, we’re just helping Ben out as he is a mate n just getting his night going. Unfortunately due to him living in Macclesfield and the licencing laws it is in Mac and shuts early. If you can get down there though though it should be a laff n cheap enough in.
Focus should be dowmn there with CD’s and we may have Marv Knight and Ginge CD’s too, but doubt you’ll get more than two of the three as need to get them to as many potential customers as possible to try get vthe crowd in for next event. However you’ll def be able to get something as they are being dished out for promotional purposes anyway.
Relentless @ Beba, Macclesfield

LOL.
Should be a good one man, am sendind two car loads down as a flyering team, and we will be handing out CD’s etc on the night. Just waiting for Ben from Relentless to e-mail me the details abd I will get it up on here and on our own website.
Oh yeah, and the web address is http://www.hardlife.org.uk
Chris was fucking awesome last night. First time I’ve heard him play live for a couple of years and he didn’t dissapoint.
As for this wkend coming I’d recommend catching Hard Life resident Rossco at Relentles in Macclesfield on Satuday night. Also playing are Alan Wilson (from Binary), who has just been booked to play our 1st Birthday on Dec 4th, and JP & Jukesy. I’ll give Ben (the promoter) a ring in the week n get details up on here in the pay parties and calendar sections, as well as getting details up on the Hard Life forum.
Yeah, very useful – spent most of week feeling ill at work but boss off (again) so managed to productively spend my time dossing on the net! heheh
Bring on tonight – Chris Liberator at The Park in Manchester. Gonna be wicked, and todays the first time i aint felt ill this week – talk about good timing!
thats the most recent Rascal mix I have mate….
and it fucking rocks!
I’m in the same boat, cadging lifts and such like. While I agree that it would be handy for organising myself to get places to have a bit more info I think puting the nearest town may be a bit too much info, as it could alert the local dibble of the town/city in question. The county should be enough really to tell people whether its feasible travelling distance.
LOL.
Thanks for the kind words and support. It’s greatly appreciated.
I was really stressed when I wrote that. Basically it’s a case of myself, Rossco and a few others run Hard Life in Manchester but the rest of them are slack as fuck and I end up chasing them round, doing the lions share of the work before the night etc. Just could have done without it this week with whats happened.
My birthday is the Hard Life night on September 18th that Al is DJ’ing at, at The Park in Manc, with Dolphin headlining (playing hardstyle not gabba I’m afraid). If I remember rightly your from London aren’t you, so as I say it is a fucking mission for you but will be a wicked night.
Al is tring to organise a coach load fromn Blackpool, while I’ve got a 49 seater running from Huddersfield, which goes straight from the club to the after party in Huds – which will be a MESSY one! Heheh!
Shit done it again. Keep posting without logging in!
TBH I’m having a shitter of a week, as my mate died on Sat night after falling in canal pissed. Heard on Monday night when got in from work after working all day on the mother of all some downs after Species. Not good at all, n this week seems to have dragged forever allready! Not helped by the fact that everyone seems to be relying to do everything at the moment, which is kind of getting me down as well. Anywayz thats a looooooonnnnnnngggggggggggg story so leave it at that! Roll on Binary on Friday!
I take it that’s Gabba Bitch who chats to Al on Dirty Techno.org? R u coming to see him DJ on my birthday? Know its a long way to travel (your London based aren’t you?) but promise it’ll be a good night. Honest!
The next Hard Life is Saturday September 18th at The Park, Grosvenor Street, Manchester. Full details will be up on the pay parties forum very soon . Line-up is:

As for events in Manchester on in the next few weeks, theres quite a run of good nights coming up:-

All right mate, is that the same MKP from manchester as has registered on the Hard Life forum?
Err, Next Gen. Vaguely recall the episode your on about but tbh dont know name of any of them.
Ah, so that’s what Lexx is. Sounds quite cool, like my sci-fi, and Babylon 5 and in particular Red Dwarf are two of the better shows around, although for me the daddy of sci-fi is still Star Trek.
So your currently holed up in Huddersfield. Which part of Huds, n how long you here for?
That was me, in case anyone was conmfused by me not being logged in!
Will do mate,
keep an eye on the pay party and free party boards. I will putting information on for Hard Life, Species (Manchesters premier HARDcore techno night) and also bits of info about Missile and Desert Storm parties (pending me getting permission from the runners)
Yeah man, starting to like the py-trance stuff myself. Heard General Jo and Bex23 do a wicked set at Missile a couple of weeks ago that really got me going on the psy-trance stuff because it had some nice techy sound to it, rather than the more trippy psychedelic stuff I normally assosciate with psy-trance.
Like a wide range matey. Hardstyle, hard trance, hardcore, speedcore, techno, NRG, gabba, hard dance…. pretty much anything with a quality hard sound to it. When chiolling like my reggae, old school, acid house, bit of rock all sorts.
Putting on an event in manchester this weekend, Hard Life at The Park, where we play some qwuality hard shit man. This ones gonna be mainly hard trance and hardstyle with a twist of Nu NRG and techno. You sopund like you like your hard shit, get youself up to it mate, gonna be rocking! Only a fiver in and on till four in the morning. Full details in the pay events forum, or check out our website on http://www.hardlife.org.uk
