Nice one Doc!
You can click just to the left of it and it disappears, still annoying though.
Yes and it’s on internet explorer too. Dunno about any other browsers though.
Why are there so many toilets in the world where the seat doesn’t stay up? It has to be a good 50%! Personally if I was having a toilet installed and the seat wouldn’t stay up I’d tell the plumber to have another go at it or he wouldn’t get paid. It can’t be that fucking hard.

I don’t like cricket!

You should, I was agaze with awe and wonderment! And now I’m just sad! 🙁
Sorry. Perhaps this video of some bloke playing trumpet at a donkey will restore your faith in the natural beauty of Mother Earth’s sonic landscapes?
I feel like a right party pooper now.
I admit it does sound nice, but it seems a bit fishy from a technical perspective. The notes in the slowed down version are around the 500Hz mark, so the original tape recording could only really have been slowed by a factor of 5x or so, which would just sound like a slowed down cricket chirping.
Sorry, I’d like to believe it but I’m calling bullshit on this.
I didn’t realise they were using Traktor nowadays in DMC. I’ve got no problem with it but it does make it hard to tell how much of his routine is sequenced (sounds like most of it is tbh) and how much he is doing live. The beat-juggling is pretty sloppy too to say it won DMC.
Fucking scumbags man, will keep a lookout for them.

August 15, 2013 at 9:32 pm in reply to: She was afraid of my workshop lathe (Celery inva)with dj petesake #1275317You’ve definitely got a unique sound, reminds me a lot of this weird spaceman I saw at Glade a couple of years ago playing guitar in a booth, was well trippy.
I only have a fairly basic understanding of electronics, but I’ve certainly heard of others making simple muting circuits by just shorting the two legs together. What is the advantage of using a resistor?
Reminded me to renew my subscription and google can stick a goose up their arse.

what sort was it? To be fair there are a lot of decent quality small amp modules an efficient the DC-DC converter from 12V to +/-36V built in.
It was a Pasce Minirig, they’re hand-built in Bristol. I think it just has something like a 4″ car speaker inside it, with a small amplifier and a limiter. The battery charges via USB and it has a ‘high gain’ and ‘low gain’ minijack input on it. No controls, no on/off switch – it’s just a chunky metal box that makes noise when you plug an ipod into it. Brilliant piece of product design IMO.
Aside from all this fucksense I actually bought a minirig last week and I’m pretty pleased with it. It’s ruggedly build, loud and the battery lasts for ages (around 18hrs, but probably a fair bit less if you run it at full volume).
You would also need to consider the daily noise dosage level encountered by the guinea pig as minirigs are quite loud. Above Lep,d of 85dB(A) and you would have to advise the creature to wear tiny earplugs, above 90dB(A) and you would have to enforce this, maybe requiring some superglue (which might cause you to fall foul of the UK and EU animal welfare laws you mentioned earlier). So it looks like one or the other really. Minirig or guinea pig.
Would you rather, minirig or guinea pig?
Very nice, looks the business!
I’m definitely Mark.
