      might be a strange post coming from someone who doesn’t own a car but its news worth knowing particularly for ravers who often share driving duties or drive multiple vehicles (like rig vans, and their own private cars)

      a few days ago heard on the BBC Radio news that Norwich Union is removing its “other vehicles” cover on comprehensive motor insurance policies..

      this is happening both because the cops think its an opportunity for people to blag driving uninsured, and also because the insurers are losing money on this feature, as gary boys/max power types buy a second smaller car, insure that fully comp and then drive their chavmobile on the “other vehicles” insurance of the cheaper policy.

      its only Norwich union at the moment who appear to be doing this but if its saving private business money you can rest assured all the others will follow suit… this may mean that if you drive your friends car back from a rave as they are too knackered to drive safely, you may be inadvertantly driving uninsured despite your friend being fully comp…
