just tried the same experiment this weekend with mephedrone, consuming maybe 1g in a 24 hour period although in smallish lines/bombs.

No worse effect on my heart rate than with modafinil. yesterday when working on my bike was getting 120 bpm at some points, but bear in mind I was hauling a 20kg bike up some steps. resting heart rate still remains low even when I can still feel the buzz from the substance… certainly no feelings of tachycardia or discomfort (other than having a fucking clammy piece of rubber/plastic strapped to my chest).

was fairly physically active including fixing a new chain to my bike, replacing the brake pads, and reorganising the layout of the computer equipment in my room.

after all the horror stories I was expecting far worse..

maybe I’m very lucky and in good shape physically these days and some folk are more sensitive..

i should have done this the other way round TBH, checking the “sober” heart rate first – which is what I am doing tonight.

In my case this is resting 55-70 bpm (average about 65), moderate activity 80-90 bpm.

from last weekend under the influence of 4-MMC the resting went up to 80-90 bpm but even when active I wasn’t going over 100-110 very often…

I can see the effect the stuff has, luckily for me its well within my normal heart rate range but can understand why some people have bad reactions.

allso you have to factor in some people arn’t just doing 1g over a 24 hour period some are doing alot more in alot less time

just ingested approx 100mg about 10 mins ago, half snorted, the other bombed. RHR nearly immediately up to 80-100 – it take concentration/relaxation techniques (but is not impossible) to get it to 80-100.

indeed and that must be why they are presenting with cardiovascular conditions. 4-MMC is certainly a powerful stimulant and should be respected. if someones RHR is already at the above point through youth or even bad health/lack of exercise it could well be dodgy.

I was however pleased with my RHR yesterday, as I was worried getting the e-bike might have made me “lazy” but my fitness has continued to improve  (I think its because it makes me cycle more as I’m not worried about hills or headwinds any more)

Very interesting report GL, and good to see some factual info on the short term effects. Always useful in helping to stay safe – thanks.
