don’t think that George is particularly religious TBH.

seriously though kicking off at the cops or any other show of greater agression tends to work only once or twice – the next time backup from 3 surrounding constabularies arrives and they deal with things a lot heavier (if they send 10 or even 20 cops from each surrounding area it doesn’t deplete the local numbers) – also behind the scenes CID start checking up closely on people. I did see Thames Valley retreat once which was amusing at the time but later that year they went in way harder at an autumn warehouse party and confiscated loads of rigs for about 2 years, also they stepped up the intelligence gathering.

TVP let slip they had a file on me from 1992 to 2004 – and they knew exactly who ran PV and SJ (both of which have strong links to raves in that region), also Hantspol tried some rum stuff to get info on me (including contacting my younger sister on a then new social network and posing as a old high school friend – who I knew had in fact died in unpleasant circumstances via monitoring their own press office!

Bad enough using a dead persons identity but worse bringing my sister into things as if any feds wanted to speak to me they knew exactly where I lived – One day we got a brand new local bobby and he said “hello Alex” as I walked past, and unlike the others who knew me from high school this chap was just in the constabulary. They do however employ smarter cops than folk realise, obvious stuff like this is done to let you know you are being watched and less common today as cops can get most of their intelligence via stubborn/arrogant folk on farcebook.

I’ve had it also confirmed from both independent research and a ex raver who joined the cops that since about 2005 they consider larger illegal raves as organised crime rather than minor local anti social behaviour – when kids in their teens can afford pro audio kit but don’t have jobs they do get a tad suspicious. A group of teenagers gets about one chance nowadays and a friendly warning they should get events licensed and thats it. unfortunately because cops see £10000 + of pro audio they also think they can afford £20 000 to pay for cops at a small festival. Even the small groups of youths doing mini raves have been locked off recently (they did take the piss in one venue though).

It’s TVP where I live, I’ve met a few nice coppers, but none of them TVP
