although what is amazing is how moronic some people can be. I know the free party scene is accepting of people generally, but fucking hell

I don’t see the point of posting something in the effort to offend others though. It’s the kind of thing kids do in middle school. That’s why it’s not hanging around.

1. PV, over-moderated? do we have many posts moderated? i wouldn’t have thought so, the only time i’ve seen posts really moderated (other than moved to correct forum) is when they include too much rig/party info, in which case, SJ does this also

2. forced politeness? nah, i’m pretty sure i could be an abusive prick on here and not get forced to be nice, i just dont want to, ‘cos it doesn’t appeal to me at all

3. no life in it? well, ok, it doesn’t move as fast as SJ, as in people dont post every second. but when you have a job and a social life, that doesnt bother me, ‘cos when i come back, theres more interestin stuff to read than a loada drivel

4. we have a stickied thread on someone comin off heroin don’t we? better than gloatin and takin the piss about someone startin it

5. i’ve found out about parties and stuff (not many i have been able to go to) here because SJ is riddled with pointless paranoia. yes the police are monitoring, but that doesnt mean everyone is a pig and out to bust ya

SJ is a laugh and occasionally decent convo. PV doesn’t move as quick, but you are guarenteed always better threads, more often than not.

as for the ketamine thing i posted above, fair enough it was an exaggerated, but thats ‘cos i got a bit sour with ket, thing it turns a lotta people into idiots (when they abuse it) so i may have been a bit forward…

its odd cos a lot more people use both sites then admit it… and that goes both ways, i mean, us at PV, we are a bit unacceptin of SJ a bit too much, and so are SJ of us… but its petty rivalry and can be quite funny

I use both as well, but post on SJ more because sifting through the crap shows some people who I’ll gladly associate with and it feels more similar to the banter I enjoy with my friends.

The ‘forced’ comment was more related to the atmosphere of the forums, if you can call it that. I feel that pretty much anything goes there, which is more true to my life experience. If you just deny the horrible stuff you never come to deal with it.

This place is great in it’s own way, it has more information and more obvious intelligence, but I don’t personally feel as comfortable posting.

At the end of the day, there’s not really any proper rivalry, just messing about. If I genuinely thought anyone had a vendetta or malicious intent then I’d have an issue with that.

As for the smack thread, it started off with good advice from people with previous experience, but he refused to accept it and acted like an arrogrant prick. I think the comeuppance was just, and more importantly, brilliantly executed.
