some girl i know (and to be honest have NEVER got on with her an we both know we dont like eachother) kept calling me up asking me to go help her out with cracking a squat she’d found or else she’d be on the streets last night. this was just after 9 my curfew began “they wont mind if your away for an hour or 2 an ill give you a gram of k”.. YES LUV, THEY WILL MIND! Ive already received a formal warning for apparently breaking my curfew (even tho whenever theyve called me ive been in bed asleep, tehcnical problems) I would rather her be in a gutter than me be in prison. may sound harsh but im lookin after number 1 mate!

Good! It’s not your fault she will be on the street just cos you were un able to help her. She doesnt sound like a very nice person to be around if she’s trying to guilt trip you into doing something that would have a farbetter result for you than it would her!

I really hate selfish people, they try and make out like they care but all they care about is themselves. obv in this case your taking care of yourself but thats within reason! in this context.

its because of the selfish don’t give a fuck attitude that squatting (which could have a lot of positive aspects) gets such a bad name. Doesn’t she have other friends who will help her? She’s probably the sort of person what will squat a building which is actually planned for other folk to legally live in rather than totally abandoned and then wonder why it all goes tits up…

i thought it had more to do with the fact that every body needs a place to live only most of us have to work our butts off to afford to do it legally! no offence squaters, i just have no sympathy for the whole thing!
