So is provoking people for humour using issues/incidents you KNEW they would reply to OK or is it not ok?
I have no issue with it to be honest, I try not to take life too seriously (good thing and a bad thing)…… Unless I have factual evidence to believe something.
February 17, 2013 at 9:34 pm #1267384I think Simon is a funny fucker but if you think he’s funny and is allowed to provoke and literally rip into people then anyone should be able to tbh..

February 17, 2013 at 9:39 pm #1267394Ahh the days when Never Mind the Buzzcocks was good.
February 17, 2013 at 10:24 pm #1267380I can’t even bring myself to watch the link as I fucking hate that little cunt
( I know a lot of people do, and I’m perhaps in the minority, but I just can’t stand him for some reason)

He is a funny fucker mate, but he can be an irritating cunt at times as well, only so much of him I can tolerate!
February 17, 2013 at 10:33 pm #1267385Simon Amstell, best host IMO. Gets the best reactions always.
February 17, 2013 at 10:33 pm #1267381Lol, humour is so personal isnt it,

Phil nearly quit the show because Simon was getting people booked purely to rip the piss out of them. I think it had something to do with why he stopped presenting.

Yeah some people just miss the humour, or they pick and choose what’s offensive to them…

I dunno man, I’ve always gone on the lines of “if you know the other person isn’t taking it as a joke, then it’s not a joke” The line between having fun and bullying has to be drawn somewhere right?
February 18, 2013 at 7:27 am #1267378I thought it was really funny at the time. Then I heard that Amstel was booking guest just so he could take the chronic piss out of them. Bit of a bully tactic that one isn’t it???
February 18, 2013 at 7:55 am #1267393That might just be hearsay, people making shit up, maybe if you spoke to simon himself he would have something else to say about it!

Let’s write a letter, GTek take a leaf of the finest quilted paper and my quill from the study draw.
Or we all write one line each.
Dear Mr Amstell
You have recently become the topic of our conversation………

Speaking of Phill Jupitus, I went to see my mate’s band on Saturday night and they had a magician there going round the crowd doing tricks. This lad was performing for Phill Jupitus on thursday and is going to be doing the same for Liam Gallagher soon. He’s gonna be big within the next 12 months or so, for those of you on fb, check out his page, search for ‘the magic mod’.

Just looked mate – “The Liam Gallagher of Magic”. Surprisingly, they do look well alike!

Due to your largely unnecessary antics when you were the host of Never Mind The Buzzcocks…

Yeah mate, he’s on the website for Liam’s ‘Pretty Green’ clothing label too. Real sound lad with a bright future ahead of him and I for one wish him every success.
