      Construction Workers
      Hello,
We have received your details in reply to our job listing and we will like to offer you the opportunity to become our employee.

We can offer you at this time a salary of £12.00 per hour plus overtime paid at an extra 50%.

Working hours are from 7:30AM to 17:30PM, Monday to Friday, Saturday is optional if you want an extra income.

You will be picked up by one of our transport vans every day at 7:30AM and proceed to your daily schedule until 17:30PM.

Everything you need to know about your job will be specified on our initial meeting. Date and hours to be confirmed for this weekend.

Actual work will begin on Monday 11, 2008 as 8:30AM, other details you will receive on our meeting, also all your questions (if any) will be answered.

We require from all our future employees to pay a £20 personal insurance tax before actual work begins. This insurance will be valid for one year and it will offer you the possibility to claim up to £5000 in case of work accident.

The personal insurance tax must be paid by 360money Voucher and your 8 digits code from the voucher will be printed onto an employee card that will also act as identification on our working sites.

Please take notice that your tax needs to be paid until 7 Feb. 2008 and it will be considered also a guarantee that you will be present to our initial meeting this weekend. In case that we will not receive the tax details until the above date we will erase you from our records and sign a replacement person in your place.

You can find the details on how to pay the tax voucher on the next page.

      Yours truly,
      Heather McKay

Sorry – but if you were scammed – it was your own fault.

All employers are legally required to have Employee and Public Liability insurance – which covers you for accidents at work. There is also certain state benefits that cover you too.

So why would you need additional personal insurance ?

Also – the sum covered of £5,000 is extremely small – corporate insurance policies are normally in the £ millions of cover.

            :you_crazy

                    Calm your beans mate.

I think there are a fair few more obvious things than the liability insurance on there that indicate its a scam. I mean who pays in 360 money vouchers…or money to a business with only a mobile number and a gmail account.

Either way they are cunts but you’ve gotta be pretty stupid to be coughing up money to them.

Seems fair enough warning people, although to those who are naturally cynical it is easy to spot as a scam there are many in this country desperate for jobs and trying to keep up hope.

the saddest thing is that scum doing these things are often sadly from the same working class communities as the people they are preying on… its the “thatcho inspired” ethos of greed and sleaze.

this also appears to be trying to scam workers all across Europe as well, its not that common to show a phone number in international format unless you are expecting foreign people to telephone you..

                                    Yes I did know.

Just like I also knew other appropriate legislation such as tax, health & safety, etc. etc.

It’s not like this information is secret – it’s freely available to anyone in government leaflets and publications, at government offices, or online.

They get an email like this one promising them an amazing job with a ridiculous salary etc. All they have to do is send £2000+ and there passports, driving license so they can sort out there work permit and visa etc.

i had a call from this women the other day that had actually gone to the airport with this letter from the dodge company expecting to pick up her passport and workpermit from the immigration office and then move to her new life in England…Pretty harsh having to tell her she had been scammed

Its wierd because the scams used to be poorer countries trying to rip off ‘wealthy English people’. Now there is scams where people from England are scamming people from poorer countries.

The more that people know about these scams the better i reckon…

yeah thats where im coming from tell everyone what these bastards are doing

health n safety dont get me started on that im a level 3 rope access technician , health and safety is so far up its own fucking ass up its become unsafe

I never said I know everything.

However this information is even provided in TV commercials.

All the ads promoting ambulance chasers like – injurylawyers4U etc. – clearly state that compensation is claimed from an employer, as they have Employee insurance to cover such accidents.

This is not me picking at anything – but pointing out that there is no excuse for someone not knowing simple information such as this.

And my I point out that you are the only one being personally offensive here – I haven’t been.
