        I’ve never been a big follower of football (although a lot of my family are avid supporters of the tractor boys) but in the days before the cops got airwave radios I’d often be helping guard my mates squat when Reading were playing at home..

        I’d tune in the BBC report of the football on one radio and then tune the scanner to “Silver Command” and monitor the interactions between the feds and hooligans at the same time..
