      Hello I’m new here.
      Running several forums.

I really like to embed the Radio vibe player into a forum website.
However, if I try so, the link leads me away from the forum into a black page with only the player.
Which in itself is working OK with the list of genre’s.

I’d like to program that player for other stations as well.
Just looking for a player with a listing.

Is it possible to use that player as a free tool?

How are you trying to embed it? And which code did you use that took you to the wrong color page?

What other stations would you like to see on the list?

          Thank’s for your reply.

This is the script I’ve used.

Any change of genre redirects to a webpage with the actual music.
But I’d like to stay on my homepage en run or choose that music as background.
Further I would like to add some local stations as well, for they are not listed in this categories.
Is it possible to add a list?

          Code:

Here is a link with a list of Dutch or Belgian radiostations. (among other countries).
            Radiozenders Streaming URL’s
Not all of that links are up to date.

            Another one is this link
Dutch radio stations streaming live on the internet – Listen online

For what I experienced only MP3 will work with the player?

OK I see where you are going wrong. That’s not the correct way to call our radio player at all, the following page explains how to embed it properly using an i-frame (see below)…

Embed our Free HTML and FLASH Radio Player

For example if you wanted to use the Light Theme Radio Player

              [ATTACH=CONFIG]86190[/ATTACH]

You would use the following HTML…

              Code:

              [/CODE]

About adding channels if you want to give me a list I will consider them…

              Thanks.

Thanks for your reply Dr Bunsen, but I’m well aware of the IFrame option.
The IFrame link is causing serious trouble with the software in the templates.
So also on Youtube no IFrame allowed.

I will try to configure a list of some radio-stations, but it needs a poll from the members on my forum.

Well it’s free a forum software version Phppb2.
I know it’s old, but they won’t update for more than one reason.
(most of them don’t know how to implement these changes)
If you put a Iframe in it and you reply, you see just half of the menu.
On others occasions whole forums have been disrupted.

TBH I got the impression this player is intended more for those who aren’t as skilled as you are with coding and use CMS software like WordPress (some versions of which can integrate with forums).

With this you can put the player on a separate page or a “custom HTML widget” with the iframe and it works, at least for PC’s with Windows/Linux (my Android tablet just shows some box looking for a plugin but doesn’t say what it is).

Maybe you could link the player from a forum menu in such a way it appears in a new tab/window, so the users can still get back to the original forum without risking stopping the stream. (I prefer sites that do not suddenly blare out music without warning in case you are listening to them at work, or maybe listening to something else) – or even use WordPress as a “wrapper” for all the different forums (that is how I would do such a thing, as anything else gets too complicated for me).

Even many radio station sites with embedded players go pear shaped if you move from one bit of the site to the other, the stream is interrupted and/or restarts. TBH if I want to listen to an online radio station I’d use one of those lists like you posted and my own local software rather than the built in players as I am curious about such things as formats, bitrates etc (I thought SLAM!FM was using a low bitrate!) and many of the players don’t seem to work with android (I don’t want to have to install an app for each station and Tune In uses too much memory for smaller devices).

I think (am not 100% sure) the “black page with the player” might be the low bitrate version for mobile devices, which only contains the PVR streams anyway rather than the others although they have mobile links too.

You might try to convert the bbcode I wrote for vbulletin for phpbb2…

What’s the URL of your forum anyway, I’m curious?

However you might consider linking directly to the streams to be launched in a real radio player…

The black page acts as our mobile radio app

                        Partyvibe Radio Stations

In this case however I think this person’s refering to one of our the dark theme players.

I’m pretty sure the black page with the player, is his own player (say vlc or what ever) set to grab that particular file type in his browser options and it will play it inside the browser … I’ll turn mine on to do it and take a screen shot so you can see what I mean …

With some players it actually shows a small player in the middle of the screen with a black background.

Hello Dr. Bunsen, I am extremely excited to see your player as well as the player working very well with all types of browsers.

I host an internet radio program using shoutcast with an ip address : port. Is there any way I can use your player to stream my broadcast on my webpage?

I have attempted html5 and cannot make it work with IE or safari type browsers, but it works fine on chrome and firefox.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW This is a Christian internet radio program that I have been hosting for the past 8 years.

                                Thanks again!!!

                                    Hi Deacon

TBH I don’t think there is an easy way of making a browser player that works on every browser as they all have competing ideas about how to do it. And that is the same for all of use whether we wish to broadcast or listen to loud EDM or music and speech for our faith groups.

As well as EDM on Party Vibe Radio I listen to Dutch pirate stations via streaming and Radio Maria Nederland which is (as you might expect) a Catholic broadcaster. (I am not a particularly good Catholic or that religious, but attended Catholic junior schools and thus listening to RMNL helps me improve my Dutch). They have some interesting programmes as well and are far more liberal and open minded than I’d expected (although this is part of Dutch culture, as is the effective use of soundprocessing).

What they all do is provide easy links to the actual stream, which you can cut and paste into your preferred player software, and on their own websites/forums easy guides on how to install this.

OK thank you my friends for the response. Dr. Bunsen I went to muses.org and setup their player on my website and it works wonderfully on IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera. I do not have any other browsers to try.

I am having a new issue. I have a few listeners who listen via smartphone and tablet. Using html5 I was able to provide streaming audio for them but I would not have audio for IE, Safari and Opera.

It is wonderful to have all the browsers working. Is there a solution for the smartphone and tablet streaming???

Again many thanks for the info about muses.org IT WAS PERFECT!!!!! 🙂

unfortunately the ecosystems of these are made to nudge online broadcasters towards coding their own unique aps, and no one wants to share an app that just works as a media player for all streams without delivering some adverts (which may not be in line with your beliefs/principles, and are an annoyance anyway).

RMNL share two links, one has an online browser player, the other is the raw link to their server which will work with any device but has to be cut and pasted. They do have an Android app but its shared with all the other worldwide franchises and when I tried it it always reset to the American stream rather than stay on the Dutch one…

their online listeners are going to range from tech savvy kids to middle aged folk who invested in a first generation internet radio which usually only plays back MP3 streams (newer ones will do AAC+, but will also receive DAB and they have licenses for both DAB+ and analogue MF (AM) – I can receive the analogue MF signal in England quite easily, albeit subject to noise/atmospherics). Such devices are popular with North Europeans as they already have a culture of listening to radio (often a larger size set with good audio quality) via a cable as the PTT (telecom company) provided this service alongside cable TV.

As a religious station you may have an advantage as religion teaches younger people to help the elders, and to be patient and put effort into getting results. TBH I would suggest using your stations website to share info on where to get the best media players for each device from and how to set them up…

No problem. Your best bet where iOS and Android are concerned is to encourage your listeners to use a native like tunein.com or winamp and tell them how to find your stream(s). Alternatively just link to those directories’ HTML5 pages for your streams.

bear in mind though that older Android devices may not have enough memory to run TuneIn (it gathers a lot of data presumably for advertisers and to buffer the stream). Hence why Radio Maria NL provide the direct link. it may be worth having a look at their site even if you don’t understand the language; one particularly good feature is that it only autoplays after you have clicked on the loudspeaker in the box “Luister live” (listen live).

Below that is another link “meer informatie” (more information) where the first link is the direct one to the webstream, below that are details of the traditional radio frequencies the MF sender, then DAB+, a link to a European online dealer of internet radios (these are portable but usually connect to wifi) including one for those whose eyesight is not good, after that various links for listening on computers. They encourage folk to listen on DAB+ if they are in the Netherlands as it is better sound quality than the AM/MF transmission and doesn’t cost them extra in bandwidth; although the online stream is popular with overseas listeners

I originally found the station via the MF sender out of curiosity but sometimes there is a lot of interference (computers and the new LED lamps create this it, and transmit it into the electricity cables) which added to the content being in a second language leads to some bizzare mishearings / misinterpretations (such as “wees barmhatig” (be compassionate) becoming “wees katachtig” (be catlike)).

                                                    Radio Maria – AM 675 – Home

also a film of the studio here (the music playout and the on air studio are in different places). The dial-a-prayer for the Rozenkranz (rosary) is particularly impressive, as this is often sent over 7KHz ISDN phone circuits from the elderly care homes (as the patients may not be well enough to attend Mass); I work as a IT manager in these places and in the UK we cannot do that as we’ve only got 3 analogue phone circuits.

I don’t expect listening to them to get me into heaven; although I did stop a runaway pram in London from getting into the main road, and ensured some nuns in my sisters school got sufficient supplies of Guiness and gin.I think Dad didn’t put me through Confirmation, meaning I am classed as either a child still or a lunatic (albeit a harmless one). but at least I may only end up hauling defect accus along the corridors or Purgatory (and bringing back new ones) as well as sorting out random infrastructure faults rather than end up in the hot place – Indeed I got the impression the Dutch who got into Heaven would run purgatory as a hobby.

General Lighting, you have made my day and also Pastor Betty’s day as well. We loved your final comment on your last post.

Betty just said “No one runs Purgatory better than the American Internal Revenue Service” though I love the comment about the Dutch.

God Bless you and your family my friend and many thanks for all your help.
