Alt.binaries is where all the P2P sites get their goodies, it’s days ahead of the P2P sites and you get a quicker warning from other people if it contains trojans/spyware etc.
Plus once you get really used to understanding how people word the file names, you can quickly understand which are viruses and where the gold is.
