Funnily enough I just bought myself a tape deck so I can put my old tapes onto CD.

On the other hand – Vinyl (the original sound recording medium) will never be replaced – even with the dawning of the CD mixer. Vinyl just lasts forever (unles it melts in the sun of course) and if it’s well looked after the sound quality cannot be beaten… even ancient records still sound good where tapes and CD’s deteriorate over time.
