I actually got failed on something very similar when I tried taking my test in the 1990s – I still don’t have a full driving license (have always lived in urban areas where in reality cars are nice to have but not wholly essential) and am only just starting up learning again next year, the only reason for this being that EA is big and I might occasionally have to transport stuff for work (computers etc), I’ll still ride my bike whenever I can!

TBH I might have scraped through but in them days I was an angrier, more reckless lad and (rather ironically given my eco-friendly views these days) would have become a right gary boy (I used to be really into cars as a boy as my dad worked in the oil industry on research for high performance engines…) had I been let loose on the roads then (especially with my drugs usage) I probably wouldn’t be around to post this today – either brown bread or locked up for killing someone on the road.
