I have worked / volunteered in this sort of industry (L.D, mental and physical disability, mental health, elderly ) since age 13, and on the whole have worked with fantastic caring individuals, however have reported some evil fuckers to management (and thankfully got immediate results) but it is totally unacceptable, and there always is a place for fun and laughs but not at someones expense, I always go with – ‘how would I like to be treated’. I really am shocked at what I have seen tonight – it goes back to real institutionalised abuse – which unfortunatley still goes on in alot of care homes I imagine….
