TBH sounds like he’s pretty much fucked anyway as that sort of mistake tends to bankrupt small businesses and even though I think you are preferred creditor or something like that it might not be for all the wages…

and if they you were being paid late to start with then sounds like the company is in financial trouble. at least you are getting your redundancy payment but its because of things like this I am a lot more careful about my lifestyle nowadays as I work in a very senior role in a small business and a serious fuck up on my part could easily take down 3 companies and 150 peoples jobs with it (many people with families or who have come to this country for that job leaving their own kids/partner behind) – its the sort of fuck up where I would have to flee the country TBH… Its also why I do security/resilience audits on potential suppliers…

only younger person I know who might know about insurance etc is m45k1 on TL but he’s in his mid 20s now and drives very carefully and safely so I think he’s got a clean license..
