“Orang Asli” (means a foreign worker in Malaysia, usually from Indonesia, the Phillipines or China). Those might look like bamboo huts (well they are TBH) but half the people there have mobiles and broadband!

13 chickens may seem like a lot but he is probably getting some for his work colleagues, and this amount of birds would probably last 2 Malaysian Chinese extended families a week (many families still eat together in that part of the world).

Note how the kids have been drafted in to catch the chickens! If you tried that here with the local kids today, I expect social worker types would probably have you arrested (I expect many of the kids wouldn’t be able to run fast enough anyway to catch the chickens..)

Maybe with the floods/global warming PP could set up a kampung in West Berkshire :laugh_at:
