since moving here I enjoy my work a lot more, I have flexible hours, remote working and get a decent salary (one of the better ones in this region..)

if I’m honest I enjoy it more than partying or drugs these days!

took a lot of years building up tech skills and even then getting this job had a lot to do with luck/karma and family connections.

Also a lot of skills I use for work are transferable to help other people – if I can set up a computer in the office I can also help a friend do art or music on theirs which makes what I’m doing much more enjoyable and worthwhile.
