When I go to psytrance nights now, I can’t even tell when one DJ ends and another begins, it’s all so samey. And this is with my favourite genre (insofar as the word has, or should have, any meaning ….). As a style psy really has lost its way. Shame cos there used to be quite a bit of variety, from Goa to uplifting to acid to dark to prog to tech to wierd noises to full-on. Now it’s all just just bang bang crash crash 🙁
