What are you looking at studying in Norwich? We have a whole range. Try the Kokoro-no-Kai Oriental Arts centre first, everything from Bujinkan to JKD to Ving Tsun. Or my Kwoon is just down the road too, studying Choy Li Fut Gung Fu and Yang Style T’ai Chi Chuan. Let us know how you get on 🙂
Hi Acid, yeah, maybe it is newer my sensi’s background was from E. London where he first started training then he added army (1ST Para) techniques in too, he took a very JKD stance (scuze the pun) and absorbed from any other style provided it could be proved to be effective, he hated “showy” moves especially if they left your guard open, having said that he was delighted when I put together multiple spinning inner, outer crescents into spinning back fist raised knee block then turn back kick, wouldn’t let me use it in sparring though (grumble, grumble). We also learnt single stick/knife techniques and heaven and earth combo’s with double stick. When I first joined it was entirely illegal, no insurance, everybody there where in trouble in one way or the other, all tokers too including the sensi (hee hee, just thought, sensi sensi) but fuck me did we learn self discipline and respect for each other and those around us. I’m interested in studying something new especially with weapon work as I seem to get on well with it, any ideas?
