A couple of years ago an old schoolmate of mine was checking in at an airport and when he was asked if he had anything on him he shouldn’t have he said, “nah, well just this grenade in my shoe…” The airport staff didn’t see the funny side; he was immediately arrested, fined and banned from the airport. And he missed his holiday. It made BBC national news.
