Extracting Codeine

I've extracted codeine from Tylenol 3 and after filtering it I came to a yellowish tinged liquid.

After looking at all the descriptions I gathered on how to extract the substance they never seem to say what to do with after you've extracted it. Specifically none of them said anything close to: "now drink what you've obtained" or "take what you have in the coffee filter, thats codeine".

I'm confused as to what the next step might be. I had hoped to be obtain a powder like substance after was said and done.

So if anyone can help on this subject I would be grateful? If it's the liquid that I'm supposed to drink please tell me. Also how do I turn it back to a solid if possible. I've been considering cooking it but I not sure and I don't want to get it wrong...

its the liquid you want; the powder will be acetaminophen [paracetamol] - do not take large amounts of this as can damage your liver....

Then go and take a look at the threads that agent subby, E-babes and the others have posted about their experiences with opiate addiction...this is the sort of thing you only want to try once even if you do find you like it..

Yeah. I've seen something like that before but the last paragraph is what I'm trynna figure out...
I don't suggest you evaporate the mixture unless you are
willing to wait a while. The Merck index warns that codeine is
sensitive to heat and light.
Anyone have an idea on how to make a reaction so the liquid goes to a solid powder form, it says don't heatt it...

It's probably best to like, measure it out first
Best dose to start with is between 30 and 60 mg...

well i reckon you could put it through a vaccuum filter to seperate the solid from liquid. But would suggest throwing it away it instead, alot less risky. And then you could at least say youve managed to extract codeine. then you could try synthesising MDMA.

is it hard to work out?

have a look around the site at the number of members tryingto get clean from opiates

that's one of the reasons people are concerned for you

another reason is you don't what you're doing and could easily poison yourself

LOL... It's all about the experimentation to me by which I mean the reactions chemisty wise, finding out how legit some of these recipes are helps me expand my mine, book wise... LOL!

The trouble with cold water extraction is the amount of codein you get is just about tolerable.

You need to start of with a good amount of codeine - Df118's would be excellent - if not then the paracetamol will rot your stomach if not done right.

You aint gonna know how much codeine you are taking - but roughly the more you start with the more you are gonna get out.

Colder the better - because the paracetamol (acetaminaprophen or whateverthefuckitscalled) will not disolve in cold water and so goes for all the binders and fillers.

Throw away the solid and drink the liquid - jobs a goodun' :laugh_at:

Remember most recipes found on the net are shit and mostly designed to fuck you up (like making crystal meth (or blow you and your house up))

And yes, watch out for the addiction side of things and yes throw it down the toilet, its better off getting rid of the scale down the bog than down your throat!!

I would imagine that you could just leave the liquid in a shallow tray with a large surface area to evaporate and leave behind the codine as a salt (hcl?), I would not know if there would be any issues with oxidisation though.

that's the best advice don't start with opiates you will be sorry
that is for sure.look at some of the posts about opiates.
they will make your life hell.
