A couple of years old and under a lively new management including ex-pirate crew Darren & Phil.

Caffeine Club - North Hill (ish), Plymouth.
One of the most relaxed cafes in plymouth with a longish history (ie it was there before any of my friends came to uni) and a great decor and atmosphere. Some of the best coffee in plymouth, great jazz sounds and a nice patio.

Bar Korova - Specialist Quarter/Old Quarter, Truro.
A new and lively venue with a great selection of coffee's, teas, and spirits incl absinthe. Very nice decor and atmosphere. Probably the most generous portions of food you'll ever see outside the US and nicely presented. Nice electronica and ambient sounds

The southwest has a long history (well to the early eighties at least) of contempory music that is as unique and individual as the people, including Mondo Poplous, The Family Cat, Reef, Dodgy, Root Joose, MoonDragon and Concrete Geraniums

The Pirate - Grove Place, Falmouth.
Setting the standard for live music and DJs for 10 years. Most of the top Indie, Folk and Rock acts have played here - Levellers, Reef, Dodgy, Saw Doctors, Baby Bird, Longpigs, Ash, etc. Great atmosphere

Plymouth has had one of the best selections of clubs and venues in any University City for Decades and a fine selection of local and national DJs feed the Cities appetite for Dance, Goth, Industrial and Live sounds.

Angels - Eclipse Nightclub, Union Street (Every Monday).
Tony & Greg play Industrial, Alternative, Techno & Goth from 10 til 2.

LittleClubofHorrors - Charlies Nightclub, Drake Circus (every Wednesday, some saturdays).
Alastair and Dean play industrial, electro, darkwave, goth & eighties from 10 til 2.

Cornish clubs will go here next time I get down there and pick up some flyers/zines and talk to friends.
