What is Internet Radio?
Internet radio is sometimes referred to as web, net or streaming radio. It's a form of audio broadcasting transmitted over the internet. Internet radio shouldn't be confused with pod casting which involves downloading content after the fact. Many internet radio stations have real world equivalents while internet only stations tend to be independent. Internet radio stations can be accessed from anywhere in the world allowing listeners to tune into content their wouldn't necessarily have access to. Finally internet radio stations cover the usual spectrum of content such as music, religion, talk, current affairs, news, etc...
