I do like it here because you can ask a question without people ripping the shit out of you. However, I had some friends on SJ who are not on here. Also, it can sometimes go for hours on here without any posts, which is sooo quiet when your used to SJ.

If it was a bit busier on here during WORK hours then I would have a different opinion - but for the moment I think I have to say I prefer SJ better.

TBH its often because people who use this board from the UK are in the sort of jobs where their employers have already had way too many people taking the piss with internet usage, and so their usage is being monitored...

even if they don't block you altogether they count how long each user is online - and a lot of places will tolerate an hour or so per day but any more than that and you get busted - a lot of the filtering/censorship software is getting more and more sophisticated these days.

and amazingly enough it seems some of the people here actually enjoy their "normal" jobs and therefore try and balance the time spent on line and that doing productive work..

I have to admit I used to worry in my old job as SJ was so constant I was never off the bloody thing, it got stupid. Nearly lost my job over it.
Think the best thing I could do now is get a pc set up at home and keep pv for work hours.

Don't get me wrong it's ok here (lovin the Cilla thing!!) - I think it's just because I have been talking on sj for so long now it's quite weird to switch. It's completely different here i.e. the way and things people talk about. Now if I came on here shouting F*CK YOU ALL W*NKERS - people would have thought I was being a right cow! I generally have a gander at both every time I gets on the internet's as they both have their merits.

Party Vibe is great for informative discussion but moves a little slow IMHO

However the quality of the threads is normally tip top and there's some beauts if you dig deep enough.

SJ is a bit dark but can be hilarious once you get used to the banter

Them lot are crazy
