Evening all,

how are we doing?

After pissing about with the decks I have come to realise that one of them is deffo not set up properly... I know its not the best idea to be messing with all the settings myself but so far so good I have improved the way it is working.

Basically I am confused by tracking force, what is this and how to I know what it is?

If anyone can enlighten me on how to work this out I would be appreciative!

Or does anyone know of an idiots guide loitering about on the internet that I can follow...

If all fails it will be a trip to a service centre...

btw one deck is running like a beaut, just one is being odd (didn't help the weights being on back to front!!)

depends on what cartrages and needles u got as to what weight you set them too ...
it's been so long since i bothered setting up the tracking on my decks properly i forgotten how to do it .. i just turn the weight till the needles sound good and dont skip and the plastic bit isn't touching the record ...
lasy .. but i been doing it so long i know roughly when it's correct anyways ... .. just google how to set up tracking on decks .. or something like that .. and then find the specs for your needles/carts .. it should show you what weight to set it to .. and the googl,ed instructions will show you how to set it to that weight

balance needle so its horizontal and floating,

set the weight indicator to zero {without actually adding weight}

and then add the amount of weight recommended by your needles manufacturer {look this up online - there is a huge amount of urban myth relating to this but in this case the manufacturers really do know best :obey:}
