dont mind em, would rather pick them up and chuck out the door than kill em, if really big ones use a glass and not my hands

when I moved into my house it'd been empty for 17 yrs, cold and windows with fucked frames and there were SO many - I had to just get on with it until they found somewhere else to live

my bro had a turantula called bathsheba - she was cute but I felt no need to pick her up :laugh_at:

they are certainly not from a camel spider lol they look like tropical flesh eating type things. From Wilki:

Solifugae are the subject of many urban legends (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urban_legends) and exaggerations about their size, speed, behavior, appetite, and lethality. They are not especially large, the biggest having a leg span of perhaps 12 centimeters (5 in).[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camel_spider#cite_note-schmidt93-1) They are fast on land compared to other invertebrates, the fastest can run perhaps 16 km/h (10 mph), nearly half as fast as the fastest human sprinter. Members of this order of Arachnida apparently have no venom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venom_%28poison%29), with the possible exception of one species in India (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/India) (see below) and do not spin webs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiderweb).
In the Middle East (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East), it is widely rumored among American and coalition military forces stationed there that Solifugae will feed on living human flesh. The story goes that the creature will inject some anaesthetizing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anesthesia) venom into the exposed skin of its sleeping victim, then feed voraciously, leaving the victim to awaken with a gaping wound. Solifugae, however, do not produce such an anaesthetic, and they do not attack prey larger than themselves unless threatened. Other stories include tales of them leaping into the air, disemboweling camels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camel), screaming, and running alongside moving humvees (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humvee); all of these tales are dubious at best. Due to their bizarre appearance many people are startled or even afraid of them. This fear was sufficient to drive a family from their home when one was discovered in a soldier's house in Colchester, England (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colchester).[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camel_spider#cite_note-3) The greatest threat they pose to humans, however, is their bite in self-defense when one tries to handle them. There is essentially no chance of death directly caused by the bite, but, due to the strong muscles of their chelicerae (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chelicerae), they can produce a proportionately large, ragged wound that is prone to infection.

The Camel spiders are called camel spiders because they are normally found in the desert where you are likely to find camels – they have nothing to do with camels.
The camel spider belongs to the class Arachnida just as true spiders and scorpions. But whilst a camel spider belongs to class arachnida it is not a spider and it’s not a scorpion. A camel spider belongs to the order Solifugae within arachnida class whilst the true spider belongs to the order Araneae and the scorpion to the order Scorpiones but all within the arachnida class. This means a camel spider, true spider, and scorpion are related by different.

Camel Spider will Chase You at High Speeds

If you get closer to a camel spider during a sunny day, the camel spider will chase you at a high speed of up to 5 meters per second. They do this as they try to flee from the sun thus chasing your shadow. A camel does not have venom nor do they have silk glands. They do kill their prey with their powerful jaws which are also used for chewing the prey.
And yes, a camel spider will bite you and if the wound is not treated it can get infection. The camel spider will usually rub its jaws (stridulatory organ) together producing a hissing sound which make them very scaring to some people when they produce that hissing sound. True, the hissing sound is really a defensive function for the camel spider.

my friend ate a moth once for a tenner, the person who dared him to do it for a tenner didn't see so he had to eat another one!

Talking about eating moths, I was severely hungover one morning and reached for my glass on the draws, drank it, and as I have a hardcore gag reflex, I felt something on the way down, pukes up and there was a moth wriggling about on the floor.:cry:

I only used to knowingly eat different varieties of creatures when I was an action man(5-8)

An urban myth, doesn't she know that TG?

...as for wearing knickers to bed, you're supposed to let your body breath and maintain the correct pH (very important in preventing yeast infections).

well.........I'm not too sure I believe her anyway, she stayed round, woke me at 620 am, as she couldnt find her PJ bottons or knickers or jeans....

we found the PJ bottoms cover in red wine vomit in the junk room, we looked in the front garden / back garden / kitchen (including microwave / fridge / oven) lounge etc for her knickers and jeans,

they suddenly turned up folded in a neat pile next to the sofa bed when another friend had woke himself up :laugh_at::laugh_at:

apparently - if you cant remember - it didnt happen :alcoholic:alcoholic

she's a good girl and great great fun to be with
never a dull moment if the wine is flowing :bounce_fl

I had to pick up a spider today - it was only a cute little un, but everyone was acting all pussy in the office - its not as if it could hurt em :you_crazy

It was funny as my bro had to move home for a bit, he took bathsheba with him on the provision from my dad she couldnt get out her 'house',
luckily my bro woke up as he heard something and she was climbing up the wall :laugh_at:
now with that I'd defo be all pussy ,

esp as she still had her venom - someone had imported her illegally and just gonna dump her so he took her in as apparently they can live for 20+ years?

if she bit you you only got flu like symptoms but.... she was bloody massive!!
