Any dubstep fans on here? Noticed alot of hardcore and trance but no dub, do occasionally listen to trance but dubstep is a definite favourite. Anyone not really sure on what dubstep is give this a listen, might not be to everyones tastes mind

and i've also got no idea about the huge ginger tash
to tell the truth i cannot stand dubstep. the worst is when they play it in a club, how boring!! no one even dances, they just step left and right looking confused and stupid.
Dub reggae is where it's at
fuck dub, deep/tech house for the win raaaraaaraaa

I like some of it. There is good stuff and bad stuff in every genre. I personally cannot stand the wobbly/clownstep stuff that's popular right now.

some dubstep is sick. I like the huge screechy bassline stuff at the moment. Still prefer good breakcore but sometimes its nice to groove to something slower, dubstep can be really fun to dance to.

I enjoy listening to it, I tend to listen to it more in the car or at home but with the sub turned up...
Its the bass lines that really do it for me :)

So, whats not to like about dubstep - according to Ninja Tunes to " dub" - Verb - To make space.
Take all that cluttered messy break house / tech step thats floating about, clean it right up, simplify the riddims, turn down the comedy lyrics, ramp up the bassline, sharpen up the snare and thats dubstep.
Dub reggae came about after that exact same treatment was given to populist tunes of the time to cater for soundsystem purists, contempory dubstep is the same treatment of the tunes doing the rounds now.
As for dancing to dubstep, its just the same as dub reggae, two step skiffle with a dip in your hip and some pride in your slide. Easy as falling off a bike. Now go and break a sweat.

i find it easier to dance to than any other music actually.. makes me want to do big dance moves instead of just spazz on the spot like with faster music

Haha im loving this. Good to see there are a few people who share my views on dubstep, there are times for the high energy techstep and breakcore people have mentioned but also time for the shuddering basslines that dubstep provides. For faster, more energetic tunes I usually stray towards good ol' Dnb

I like dubstep to chill too or as background music, but other than that, it sends me to sleep.

I do have my moments for the softer dubstep like this but at the moment im into the dirtier bass tracks at the moment, prime example:
YouTube - Dayn - Power Armour (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4A5tII6m_A&feature=player_profilepage)
Not too sure how to embed video just yet.
As for dancing to this, if your in a club with like-minded people who know what they're doing, it's the easiest thing in the world.
alot of people just think dubstep is 'COOL'
it really is not
