its funny but I think they were lucky as the girl turned the dryer on slowly - and its one where the heating elements don't come on until the second/third setting - if the elements were heating up to red heat (I've seen some hairdryers become like that eventually due to design faults) you've got the risk of this..

which is going to turn a harmless prank into a spell in jail for GBH...

yeh I thought of this as mine gets really hot sometimes,
I'm guessing from watching it she may have known before what was gonna happen as a couple of times she looks like she smiling just before she'll start laughing and stops herself - and wouldnt she question her boy / friend why he's videoing her drying her hair? I certainly would :you_crazy
and have gone more mental than she did :ar15:

I suspect the hairdryer is a rigged prop (with either a low voltage blower or compressed air feed) and she did know about it as there are too many serious safety risks otherwise (for instance getting a unexpected cloud of fine dust in the eyes isn't particularly pleasant either!)

you do get a lot of film school students and other such wannabes using youtube as a way of testing out SFX. I've seen a lot more hardcore stuff on YT including squibs/bullet hits (the effects used in movies to make it look like someone has been shot) and other pyros /IEDs being detonated

Can be fun to watch but has the danger that people will also try out the stunts/effects, without appropriate safety precautions.

I've got a bunch of friends in the sticks what would be prepared to try all manner of things but I don't want to encourage them because if anything fucks up it would end up with Eastamb and West suffolk hospital having to patch them up at public expense and them lot seem to have enough dealings with the NHS on a day to day basis anyway just through "normal" illness and accidents!!!
