alright guys..

im building a website for a friend of mine thats a photographer..

i was going to use Yahoo! Geocities coz ive used that before and like the way they let you customise everything.. no templates. but according to yahoo, geocities in closing down in october and wont let anyone else sign up.

does anyone know of any other FREE sites that let you build like geocities did? ive looked around and found sites like moonfruit and such but they are too limiting

whos the website gonna be for?

Erm im not sure what people to use to build the site.... but some hosting companies have really good like site builder tools and only cost like £30 for a whole year. Might wanna have a look at the paid ones.... plus then they can ahve a cool address like .

there's no such thing as a free lunch. these sites are limiting because they want the user content in a certain format to act as an ad delivery platform.

The Japanese don't hand out cameras for free, so is your mate really so skint he or she can't afford to buy some resources from a hosting company? they are presumably already getting your labour for free...

Mr Site - Make a website - website builder - Create a website (http://www.mrsite.co.uk)

It only costs about £30 and you can chose your own domain name

Quite straight forward to use as well

It has lots of templates to chose from too
