Finally. I can honestly say BB was the biggest pile of shit ever, Producing 'celebrities' who people would forget after 6 months and bringing us the pig that was Jade Goody (at least that ended well)

it was fucking sad what happened to her in the end, OK it might not have been the smartest of things she has done, but her so-called mates leaked loads of info about her to the tabloids (including private pictures of her, one of which unfortunately showed her laughing at a police car what got trashed at a rave in Suffolk).

and then she got stalked to fuck by journos even shortly after being evicted, and the journos allegedly dobbed in a few raves they saw her at, so the ravers turned on her and said she was now a security risk and a liability

last time I saw her she had her head down and looked broken (not in a good way like she was mashed, but as if she knew everyone was now taking the piss out of her...)

I worked in the TV industry for a few years (as an engineer) and in the late 90s/early 2000s wanted to move into production but in production they discriminate against heterosexual young males and I couldn't play the race card because I was the "wrong sort of Asian"! -The BBC actually said this to me!

They wanted Pakistanis or Indians, and even then you end up having to do work experience on the Bhangra and Bollywood type shows (there is a Pakistani dude called Sarfraz Manzoor from round your way who did join the BBC and said he was stuck on Asian Network for years when he wanted to go to Radio 1...)

plus once you get there there are a fuckload of people who will stitch you up and they often claim to be your best friends, its like all the young celebs what get busted for drugs are dobbed in by people they know rather than being caught by the OB.

the whole industry is fucked anyway because of these reality shows and x-factor etc. there is now no proper career path into a decent paying media job, lots of overpaid old farts keep all the good work whilst many of the presenters on cable channels have to still have second day jobs and other staff are expected to work for nothing because "the media is fun"

a young girl I know has turned down her uni place to study documentary filming in Wales at one of the UK's best unis because she and her mum can't afford £20 000 of debt with no guarantee of work - 10-15 years ago she could have maybe got a job with HTV or Anglia in the news room or the Rapture! "yoof" channel what was run from Anglia back then but ITV are now making fuckloads of people redundant..

you can still get a good job in media.... i think its about who you know though. at least in part... my mate makes adverts for companies... he got the job straight from uni... he worked on big brother for a while a couple of years ago.... like for some experiance before he finished uni.....
