Well it sounds quite old as far as psi trance goes, these days psi trance is packed with sounds swapping from left to right channel so it's gonna be very hard to create. But it's deffo a good attempt. I've always said all you can do is practice, without that you will never get where you want to be. keep up the work brother

Aye it can be developed deffo its got the right sounds and a unique sound to it aswell that you can call your own style I spoze. Like I say keep on trucking mate, and try not to get bord with it. That the problem I get, I get bord and start to make something else.

yeah as 1log says, the production standards of most psytrance these days has got fucking ridiculous! loads of big time producers with expensive studios!
good start mate, not a huge fan of the bass or kick tho, give it a rollin psy bass line and that'd sound wikid!
what program you use btw?? got a load of psy kick samples as ive always found it a mission getting that proer tight kick that you hear so much.
keep it up mate!

i use cubase .... tbh i love that bass .... (if you meen the boom boom bass :P)) .. it wasn't ment to be psy when i started it .. but kinda leaned that way .... mby i won't label it psy so i can get creative and do what i want rather than having to fit it into a genra

I wouldnt say you need a massive studio but definately a decent hardware synth if you're serious about making trance.. they are still head and shoulders ahead of the best software synths, and probably always will be as they have tons of DSP boards doing the sort of processing computers cant keep up with. Apart from that all the precussion and mixing/mastering can be done with software these days.

Psytrance is a pain to make, I personally wouldn't even try it.

na i like a challange .. if it don't work .. it dont work .. it's all a learnign curve
alltho tbh the way i make tunes .. is i have no idea at all what i wanna make .. and start with bits of this and that .. and it seems to form what ever style afterwards .. (sometimes not really anystyle) this one just so happened to go psytrancy .. was actauly gonna try a techno tune .. but stumbled across a nice sound for an arpegio and it all went psyified from there gonna play with pan and shizz with this one and see what i can do .. i know it's not gonna compeat with all the banging psy you can get atm .. but i doubt the first tunes any of the now top producers made would do either  .. just hope i don't give up on it like i tend to do with tunes when i get bored of listening to them hunderads of times whilst making them:crazy_diz

I'm making tunes for 10 years now and I'm still shit at it. I've been getting better at the eq thing but my tunes still sound boring as fuck. It's gonna be some time before I start finishing tracks (maybe 5 years). I'm seeing a SLOW progression in the quality of the stuff i'm putting out but I mainly make stuff for myself and rarely share it with anyone else. Producing audio is also time consuming stuff and that's something I don't really like.

And for the style thing, my latest tune was meant to be industrial techno and when I finished the first 2 minutes of it it actually sounded like jumpstyle which is terrible.

yeah i would rather actualy be able to make what i got in my head ... but untill i can just plug in my brain to a pc and download my tunes into mp3 format (or what ever music format is the norm 2 thousand years from now) i gonna have to do the best with what i got ... i know exactly what you mean about it being time consuming .. but most rewarding things in life are .. the more you put in .. the more you get out .. it's just hard to actualy be bothered in the first place

I've had times where I become so frustrated with the production thing due to the disappointing results that I just didn't touch my DAW or listen to my productions for months...

I'm also the kind of person who appreciates other people stuff more than the stuff I make myself (don't ask why, I think it's because of my high selfcriticism and perfection)

i hear that.. took me about 5 years before I actually staretd considering my shit to be professional quality.. and there are so many artists out there trumping me with their new releases.
I know music is good when the production is so good it makes me really angry that I cant do it... quite funny really loving and hating producers at the same time. I have a real love/hate relationship with boxcutter and shpongle cos their music is so amazing and so beyond my current skill level

I want to make tunes that fit my sets when I'm djing later, the tunes have to be at the same level as the stuff that I spin that are made by other producers, so people don't notice the tracks that are made by me in a bad way and just consider them as a part of the set if you know what I mean.
