Squat Parties - Your Experience

I haven't been to a squat party since NYE and that was the first one i had been to in about a year and was just wondering does anyone here go to them on a regular basis? and if so what are their experiences, especially with regard to getting mugged/secuirty? i used to go regularly and then the only thing i had stolen was a hat

Also if anyone can recommend what think is a 'safe' rig please pm with details......many thanks
