I've got a criminal record for drugs and even though its only cautions I am currently am not allowed into the USA without pre-approval....

I don't consider not being allowed into the USA as a particularly great loss TBH.. maybe Mr Obama's government will realise (being a former recreational drug user himself) that a record of this nature isn't a massive threat to the USA but I'm not fussed if they don't...

yeah it is a joke that getting caught with a bit of weed can get you banned from a whole country!
dont they have the reverse rules in new zealand? where if you have a criminal record they dont let you leave the country as they dont want to spread a bad image of thier country. Thats pretty harsh as well tbh. although i think there is a time limit not just a life ban like the USofA.

I reeeaally wanna go! It's meant to be amazing! Though I think spending that amount of time in a desert would cause some intense sunburn.

If you want a taste of Burning Man look out for the Compression party , we went to the Decompression party not to long ago UTTER madness and random as you like, everyone was in some form of fancy dress ( dressed up ,down and even butt naked ) there were no themes, no conforming just to having a laugh . Poetry ,comedy, 6' tall transvestite dress as Alice in wonderland dancing with my wife , interactive carnage and wierdness in abandonment. Will definatly be at the next one fully prepared ;o) . Top Stuff.
