FAO people who know how to build PC's or know about SPDIF connections

i have a two pin SPDIF wire i need to plug into my motherboard i have 3 pins and 2 sockets .. on my mother board i have

"+5", "SPDIFOUT" and "GND"

the wire has a white and a black conection

i belive i need to plug the white into the "+5" and the black into the "SPDIFOUT" and just leave the ground or "GND" empty

is this correct as i still not getting sound from what i want?

it could be a million problems .. i just wanna iliminate this one first ... :yakk:

i figured out the problem now n e way so no need for any more replys ... the hunderds i got allready seemed to fix the problem :hopeless: :laugh_at:
