Hello, I had a problem just now (about 5 mins before I started posting this).
I should have screenshot the page that came up, instead I text messaged Cliffy with what it said...
It said I was forbidden, blacklisted by a DNSBL server at httpbl.abuse.ch - I was blocked from something else once when using my own internet (I have the Dell notebook laptop that comes with the Vodafone sim inside it for mobile broadband) - usually I use whoever's wireless, but I'm at my parents and have logged on using my own internet.
I thought I was banned til I suddenly got let on and saw this thread...

Assuming you're not a hacker it means your IP was used at some time by someone who was up to no good and the IP is now listed on the hacking blacklist at abuse.ch (http://dnsbl.abuse.ch/faq.php#about_httpbl). If it happens again, record your IP address by going to whatismyip.com (http://www.whatismyip.com) and send it to me (submit@partyvibe.com) for removal...

Not got the first clue how to hack. Been hacked, but have never hacked. Thanks man, wonder how come that's happened - it was when I was using my Vodafone 'dongle' - I've only had this a few months and can't figure out why my ip would have ever been someone elses? Despite my once being capable of building pc's, I've never understood ip stuff or software.

I know what it is.
The way they run those mobile internet networks. Is they have a limited number of IP's.
So about 1000-1500 subscribers all share the same IP.
Its like being on a local network.
So if one person gets blocked. It locks 1499 other users.

Cheers Dr Bunsen for unblocking me last night/today - hey guys, I'm back!
I can see it being very inconvenient for anyone who does need finding through their i.p for police purposes etc, if so many of us share an address. Not very good, methinks. Anyhoo, I'm back, woohoo!

the mobile phone companies have thought of this other info including your location which they can (and do) pass on to the cops...
surveillance technology is built into this equipment - the man what runs the company making most of the mobile adaptors (Ren Zhengfei) was one of the top officers in the Peoples Liberation Army of China and introduced such things as modern wireless communication to the Army during the 1970s to 1980s. The Chinese and other nations communications ministry would not license this equipment to be used on the airwaves unless it has intercept facilities for governent...

I'v got a similiar problem, I'm with talktalk and it seems that they use their mailing servers to send bulk mail. Hence a large number of talktalk ip addresses are blacklisted by CBL. Which means I cant get onto the .irc chat.
Its definately talktalks fault as I only changed over to them last week and I've had no problems before, my systems clean etc.
Any ideas?
Anybody got any ideas for getting
