Are you going to vote?

If so, who for?

If you'd like to elaborate that'd be good, let's get some last minute pro's and con's going!

I think I've got just about all parties who are standing in various regions for the European elections, there was one or two tiny parties I omitted because of the 20 poll options limit. If it's not on the least, just reply with whatever party it is!

As is fairy obvious I'm voting Green Party. I think their policies are very socialist however unlike the SLP and SWP they seem more progressive, rather than overly traditionalist and of the "angry overnight revolution" mould. I think the SLP etc. have good ideas too, but the Green Party has the ability to argue these ideas on a political platform. I did initially think Socialist Workers Party, but for the reasons I think Green Party is still a vote for socialism, but a more realistic vote for progression than the "socialist by name" parties.

the UKIP publicity is massive in Devon with full bus-side adverts, billboards and leaflets every other day... i don't know what the campaign is like in other areas but i would bet they win here

i don't know who to vote for in the EU elections but I expect I will go with my gut and vote green not because I particularly believe in their ability to govern europe just because i can't bring myself to vote for anyone else

there's also the county elections coming up.. i want my vote to count in that one :(

"Bollox" on the balot............thats the way forewards i recon, get enough people to do it and their will have to be a complete overhaul of the system which currently as most of us know is a complete and utter shite....unfortunately i don't have all the answers but the system is so dated no something has to be done!!!!

it's illegal to spoinl your ballot but as you vote in a private booth it can't be enforced on individuals, but if someone ran a campaign to spoil ballots they might get done

just seen the party campaign stuff sent to me and Labour in the East are campaigning against the lib dems because they (labour) are harder on drugs and crime and against decriminalisation...

I don't think the local spin doctors are that fucking stupid to alienate potential voters so sadly it does seem that they genuinely feel this is what their core voters now want... so we've got the two mainstream parties falling over each other to prove how hard they can be with regard to "law and order..."

yeah i thought as much ... imagin the tumoil it would cause if you could legaly spoil your balot paper and the amout of people who would vote no confidence ... there would be more people voting that than anything as some one allways has a grumble about what ever party is in power no matter who they are (unless the are die hard suporters) ... but i guess they make it illigal cos they know this will happen and it's TOO democratic to have that much say in a vote:you_crazy
