He found a girl last saturday at the party. She live at Sheffield and came today on the train. He now stay in tonight with her and I stay in my room and smoke alone.

whats her name. wonder if i know her.
i think its kind of immature (no offence intended) when people moan about how their friends are goin off with their new partners. how are you supposed to settle down if you dont?! im pretty sure most married couples dont spend all their time with their mates. if your mates truely happy with this girl who should be happy for him man, falling in love is the most important thing in the world (in my eyes)

Ask your mates bird if she can hook you up with any of her single friends. It's hard when a good mate starts seeing someone and you feel like you're alone, You're not though. As i've said see if she (mates bird) has any single friends, Ring old mates up, meet new people etc. Let your mate have his fun cos i guarantee if it doesn't work out then he'll need his best mate to be there for him. That said that doesn't mean you can't have some fun yourself. look after yourself fella. ;)

indeed very true

i tend to find my close mates remain close mates, and their girlfriends/boyfriends become close mates too

It's always much nicer when you can get on with your mates partners
and a right mare when I cant - as I'm very bad at pretending...

however I think its a much better sign when your mates like your partner - as it can cause real difficulties if they dont -

having siad that love is blind and is lovely and great

It's normal and natural for someone in a new relationship to spend less time with their mates, if they didn't because you wanted to see them all the time, they'd never find anyone and be happy.

I understand how it feels, I'm usually the single one amongst people who are coupled up but that just means I'm available to have fun. I've just become single again myself, and I'm looking forward to the opportunities that await me!

Try getting out and meeting new people. It can take time to forge new friendships that are lasting so don't expect too much of new people too soon, but if you go out and start meetingother people (as friends, not just on the pull for girls) then you are also likely to meet girls too on the journey. It's a lot of fun...
