when anyone has posted on a thread or reached the bottom of a page, we have to scroll back to the top to reach the navigation. could we put a quick navigation bar at the bottom of the page, or just a button back to forum or active topics, please?

Have you tried the link at the bottom right the page marked Top?

ah I've found that now

it saves scrolling back up (although i have to scroll down to reach it)

I think it would be good if people could return either to the forum they are in or to active topics with one click?

We used to have it but it was too cumbersome, this Top link works well enough...

all i have to do is say "scroll up 99" and windows 7 scrolls up loads for me lol .. (now that's lazy)

'course what we need (I may have mentioned this once or twice in the past ) is a nice NNTP interface for phpbbs, which presents the messages, topics and forums as postings in threads in newsgroups. Then you can have all the user interface goodness of handling new postings, topics, threads and forums efficiently, instead of the BBS based awfulness that is web forum software ...

If I wasn't up to my ears in other stuff I might try and write one. Maybe one day !
