Any UK rigs? My mates got theirs out but got done over by bent coppers a little down the road somehow. Roll on next year, best party ever.

Good stuff, it would suck having your system taking in another country. Especially as the rigs there were worth a lot. Not too sure, heard a few rumours haven't spoken to anyone who was actually there yet so not sure of the truth in what happened. Will find out soon.

Yeah it would have been a nightmare for the UK rigs if their stuff had been taken, or at least a shed laod of hassel.

the EU police databases/operational procedures aren't as "joined up" as the EU wanted them to be - its the exact same reason foreigners in this country committing minor crimes are often ignored or given minor penalties (and which people whinge about in Britain)

I have to agree with Monsieur 665 on both points..

I do think a shame all them rigs got taken but its no different to what happens in the UK and what will eventually happen in all EU countries unless either they do smaller more socially concious events (such as what appears to be happening in CZ), and I very much doubt a private petition will make the slightest bit of difference.

The cops pulled in over a quarter kilo of heroin at that rave, amongst other drugs.

25 000 people, including many foreigners who came specifically for this purpose due to similar activities being outlawed in their nations, had invaded a bit of land without any permission whatsoever. Does anyone realistically think that any government is going to roll over and let people carry on with this?

I'd rather that we were allowed smaller events in all the EU nations so people could go to each as they pleased in genuine multicultural groups rather than people turning up there because enforcement is more lax than their home country - which if we are honest about it is how 90% of British people see the "euro-teknival" scene.

Also whilst I am no nationalist I feel its an issue for the French citizen and taxpayer to decide rather than someone like myself from another nation who didn't even attend the event... although I do think those from UK crews should show some solidarity ...
