Two test positive for Swine flu in Scotland. I ain't scared Polygon, Just like to keep the masses informed, anyway i have a small bunker that i built during the SARS and Bird flu scares. Actually it's just a hole in the ground with an umbrella for cover, it'll serve its purpose.
is there room for two in that bunker?

My step Mum is high up in some medical research institute and they had a talk on global pandemics and the lecturer was freaking out about this. Apparently the spread is very similar to that of Spanish flu, as it spreads and kills younger people, who would ordinarily survive flu.
Anyway that pandemic killed more people than the first world war.

i don't think that this strain of flu has anything to do with any military, but do you think that western governments don't do this?

They definitely do!
I read an article from 2002 in the Guardian with actual evidence, some even released by the MOD about chemicals being tested over Britain since WW1 to the late 80s. Chemicals which were meant to test the spread of the chemicals from airborne deployment if chemical warfare was ever the case. Apparently through recent studies (2002~) showed some of these chemicals are actually harmful if the right amount was inhaled. The article said at least 100 tests were confirmed. So what else they tested and why is scary.
Population control is a big conspiracy theory, which has some interesting evidence, even if not specifically proven to be for this reason. Have a look on Google.

I've booked a holiday for September... and no doubt I'll look daft as I board my plane wearing on of those surgical masks to protect myself from THE DREADED SWINE FLU!!! (just making some suspense here)
My mate has just spent two weeks in Cuba - and 8 days of those were spent in hospital with swine flu she suspects she caught on the plane. So alas, Holeydel becomes Dr Holeydel for a 2 hour flight if it means I have a swine flu holiday :D

That's good to know (about your missus) not about your niece though, :hopeless:
I'm curious though, how does swine flu start as in what are the starting symptoms and how long does it take to fully take hold. I only ask cos i got what feels like a sore throat, am aching a little bit and can't stop sneezing. Feeling a bit run-down as well.
Felt fine yesterday and woke up today feeling proper fraggled, Hopefully it is a comedown from the weekend but you can't be too careful eh :hopeless:

All day sat she was laying on sofa really lethargic, sat evening felt better and went round her mums. On sun morn she had work and got back at 12-30 looking like death and said she had no idea how she got through. By sun night like regular flu then mon morn she had a glassy eyed daydreamy look and a really swollen throat n wrists, achy all over especially joints, slightly nauseated and couldnt swallow food.
Tamiflu seems to work really quickly, she is now up and aboutand eating again, throat is down quite a bit but still tired n achy, she started taking it mon at 3.20pm. Although my misses is fit, she's a swimming teacher, she is a bit run down due to other issues at the minute.
Neice has now also been put on Tamiflu and put under same restrictions, No visitors n stay in for 5 days.
