Kit, even if you get any equipment from this post (and a lot of people will be wary because you've only got five posts and no one knows you - you could be a fed or a journo for all we know) and are stubborn enough to do a "suicide party" you are risking a fuckload of nightmares for just a few hours of fun. When 18 year old lads who are often not in full time work seem prepared to risk losing hundreds of pounds in the middle of a recession, detectives start asking difficult questions (such as where is this money coming from?) and looking for answers.

Last christmas, two of my mates done 4 months in a cat b prison for their involvement in raves - they didn't want it to kick off but other chavs did and brought it on top for everyone. OK prison might not be as harsh as it was 10-20 years back - you might have mates what have already done a stretch - and my friends put on a brave face about it as most young men will but I know neither of them ever want to repeat that experience again.

And where this sort of "youthful indiscretion" really fucks you over is later when you are in your 20s or my age and want a decent job to pay back for all the time you spent studying in college or getting experience in crap jobs. In 10 years or less you might be married and/or a dad - with your missus expecting you to provide something for the family, Babies are expensive.

Even if you don't want this sort of life you will be wanting a job so you can own a nice place to live/to afford to live comfortably.

So many jobs want a CRB check these days - other employers do more covert security checks on your background (sometimes without telling you) - not just places like MI5 or the Army ; its rife in private sector companies "because they can" with all the ways of getting info on people these days.

I've got a minor criminal record and because of this I wouldn't have the job I do today had it not been for family connections; there are so many people with the same or more qualifications who have kept their nose clean and could do my job. Last time I checked only a third of employers nationwide are prepared to take on staff who have done prison time or got a major criminal record... (and licensing offences are viewed as fraud against the public purse!)

you can get a license for £21 and a small bit of paperwork - and people have managed to do parties in Norfolk and even Essex this way - maybe its time for people in EA to be a bit less stubborn?

throwing an unlicensed party that you know is going to get busted and you'll lose the rig

and can you elaborate a bit on the 21 quid licence general lighting?

there have already been several legal events in Mid Essex using TENS (I think Roswell was one of them!)

there have already been several legal events in Mid Essex using TENS (I think Roswell was one of them!)

there are loads of TENS issued in Devon now.

promoters are using places like restaurants for club nights and mini festivals are going on every few weeks through the summer

the free parties are comparatively crap as there's so little effort put in... a rig stuck in the corner of a barn or 3 days to party with toilets, showers, food, local ciders and beers, free books (!), fancy dressing, live music during the day, a place to put your tent, no robbing or hassles with the law for a voluntary cover charge? no competition

well u dnt have to take the piss!!! lol. ive done parties befor, many times before infact, so i dnt care if you dont want to help a good cause out ,but you wont be complaining when i throw the party, jus wait for the summer people. i know u can get nicked!!! that half the fun!!!! aslong as you had a phat partie it dont matter. Its everyones fault thart illegals are getting stomped on so hard by ob, coz everyone has dropped a beer-can, left a nos canister on the floor and no-one can deny that they do it, coz i even i admit to dropping rubbish and being a twat sumtimes!! its not our fault that our generation is frowned upon by the upper clases who fink were all lil hoodlums, they jus forget that they were young once and want to have a partie, so id say invite parliament to an illegal!!!! thatll cheer dem up!!!

neways dnt bother trying to tell me, that this is a bad idea! coz its people like us that want to do the illegals, the old favs are too scared to even do an illegal these days!!! i.e Skan, Treehouse etc etc

but ill give u 50p for the telly and ill give u a quid for ure laptop nd ure shitty speakers!!!--everyones losing dere fighting spirit and you all talk about equality, freedom and being your own person!!! ure all scared to do nethin bout it-- if you want something to happen then ger off ure arses and do sumthin bout it!--

yer i knw that, but wht happened to not getting caught, people were jus being careless, throwin rigs right near peoples homes--- thats how u get nicked, but look at one example--- a partie thrown a while back, was set up so it looked like a big convoy for a motor-show when actually it was a rig and about 500 ravers!!!-- and another times when skan- took all the drivers out their rig, cept for two monitors, and everyone was still stompin as the polive came to smash up the rig!!!!! lol.-- shoukld have seen dere faces!!! lol.

im not saying go throw a party, but do it properly and have a plan incase it all goes tits up!!! u gotta think above the polive and law-- look for lil loopholes, then u can have a proper partie and get ure rig and urelself out of dere!!!!!

Many of the people in Parliament know exactly what a illegal rave is, some of them are about the same age as me! The same goes for the police - I know of former ravers what have had bad experiences on the scene and joined the OB... so the loopholes all got rinsed when I was in my 20s and have been closed up by various MP's and govts.

its not just litter and noise people are angry about too but peoples farm equipment being smashed up and also the amount of youths what are addicted to ketamine these days. At the last few Norfolk parties I went to I saw Ambulances called to each one because people had fallen off things whilst on ket. It costs about £500-£1500 per incident; and "free" party organisers haven't paid a penny towards this unlike legal rave organisers.

Another problem is out of 500 people at a rave you get about 10 muppets what cause problems, and they are very hard to keep out of even the best raves. If there aren't cops to fight, they tend to rob stuff out of cars and fight amongst themselves.

people here have shown themselves incapable of behaving properly as groups and brought this clampdown on themselves. Even when a party doesn't get the stack taken there are locals writing formal complaints to the cops

I thought the idea of a suicide rig was to not use your best stuff, eg; instead of the shiny new 1210s some KAM copies so that IF it gets busted your expensive gear doesn't get confiscated/smashed up. NO?...Not to hold a party that you know is going to get busted before it even starts...THat would be an idiot rig.
