It's started. After a few weekends of near constant use, i now have the familiar 'buzziness' that comes with such abuse. I keep getting a buzzing in my head and that weird jolt thing. This sucks balls, Hopefully it won't last long!!!!

(Btw what has happened to the MDMA sticky thread? I swear there used to be one!?!)

Ooooooooooh, you could smoke some potent salvia? or take some mephedrone, i am sure they have no long term effects on the human brain/body, how could they, they are legal afterall.

there just the same as illegal drugs mate, except you dont have to be a dumbass to take them.

Nah man if they are legal then they are safe. I mean our govt would never put us in harm now would they! :laugh_at:

Incidentally just found out the rest of the world have banned these 'legal' pills now but the UK is like the only country to still have a 'legal' status. :you_crazy

exctacy was legal b4 it was made illegal .. and people thought it had no bad effects back then as well, one thing i dont agree on is legal drugs being the same as illegal as all drugs are diferant .. just cos one is legal and the other isn't doesn't make one better/worce safer/more dangerous just it's convineant/perpousfull for the govenment to make them illegal for what ever reason

all i can say is be carefull with legal highs

all the drugs i can think of started off legal untill the side effects got shown

one of the big ones is morphine as it was used for pain relif and a cure for opium and alcohol addiction then discoverd that it was more addictive ... then heroin came alone as a cure for morphine addiction but then research fount that heroin gets turned into morphine by the body

i know your not onabout takin opates but they all started off legal. and the new 'legal highs' could be just as bad all i can say is proceed with caution

how often/how much were you doing?

went through a phase of doing between 5-10+ pills every weekend for a few months. The feeling that my brain was being electrocuted seemed to go after about a week of not doing any tho. no more pills for me!

All in moderation tho fellas!! Legal highs often have worse side effects than illegal ones, well in my experience nehow.

Twitches n synapse reactions (the electric buzzin in ur head) are horrid...i suppose the best advice is take a break from it all, be good to ur body and fill it full of nutrients. Another good 'herbal' remedy for come down badness is a product you can buy from indian sweet centres/ supermarkets called Chyawanprash. Its a sticky blend of herbs/fruits and spices used for centuries, u can eat it or dissolve it in some hot water (2-3 teaspoon fulls). It smells lush and just gives your body a boost, easing the tension and evil side of your come down really.

Hope this helps :)

Sleep paralysis is a condition that may occur in normal subjects or be associated with narcolepsy, cataplexy, and hypnagogic hallucinations. The pathophysiology of this condition is closely related to the normal hypotonia that occur during REM sleep.[1] When considered to be a disease, isolated sleep paralysis is classified as MeSH D020188.[2] Some evidence suggests that it can also, in some cases, be a symptom of migraine.[3][4]

Physiologically, sleep paralysis is closely related to the paralysis that occurs as a natural part of REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, which is known as REM atonia. Sleep paralysis occurs when the brain awakes from a REM state, but the body paralysis persists. This leaves the person fully conscious, but unable to move. The paralysis can last from several seconds to several minutes "after which the individual may experience panic symptoms and the realization that the distorted perceptions were false".[5] When there is an absence of narcolepsy, sleep paralysis is referred to as isolated sleep paralysis (ISP).[6] "ISP appears to be far more common and recurrent among African Americans than among White Americans or Nigerian Blacks",[7] and is often referred to within African American communities as "the witch riding your back"[8][9]

In addition, the paralysis state may be accompanied by terrifying hallucinations (hypnopompic or hypnagogic) and an acute sense of danger.[10] Sleep paralysis is particularly frightening to the individual due to the vividness of such hallucinations.[11] The hallucinatory element to sleep paralysis makes it even more likely that someone will interpret the experience as a dream, since completely fanciful, or dream-like, objects may appear in the room alongside one's normal vision. Some scientists have proposed this condition as an explanation for alien abductions and ghostly encounters.[12] A study by Susan Blackmore and Marcus Cox of the University of the West of England supports the suggestion that alien abductions are related to sleep paralysis rather than to temporal lobe lability.[13]

Sounds like you might be experiencing this... ive posted quite a few threads on here about it, seems quite a few people have suffered from it. I actually quite enjoy it, not had it for ages tho. the struggling to breathe is probably you still being concious as your breathing slows as you fall asleep. you then panic as you believe your not breathing.. Maybe... Stopping caining it should help make it stop. stuff like nytol or some sleep aids make it worse as well. also having irratic sleep patterens makes it more likely...

I had this once after a bender...was it like sleep paralysis? I felt as tho my arms were being tugged but i couldn't do anything to stop it. I was having a 'dream' of sorts about alien creatures at the time n when i did wake up with full movement I swore blind the aliens had tugged my arms pmsl!! Obviously later I came to the sensible conclusion it was my body due to the previous weekends mistreatment! Was the weirdest thing ever tho CLiffy...I agree!

I heard when it happens its holes popping in your brain. Im no doctor but the only thing I can think of it being is either nerve damage or even worse a brain tumor. Poly could well be right though, maybe time for a break from the drugs mate? If it gets worse id go see a doc.

they call it 'the zaps' many people get it, and it happens for a few reasons the main one is lack of sleep, other ones such as drug withdrawl and dehydration can cause it . dont worry i doubt its life threatening:love:

it happens when im standing but its worse when im trying to sleep.. it almost feels like somesort of muscle spasm but on the right hand side of my brain.

thats just it tho like i said the only drug ive done for the last year or so is k and ONE acid trip last year... and a couple of changa trips a month back.
ive not been overdoing anythin else cept the k, and ive been gettin the jolt thing alot worse in the past two weeks after giving the k up. so i doubt its from doing to many drugs!! ive had phases of doing alot of mdma and all sorts when i was younger and never got this zapping thing.. could be some sort of withdrawl from k as i was a pretty heavy user..fuck noes, if anyone has anymore info on it please share

Lay off it for a bit would be a good idea ,give your body a chance to recover. While your recovering get some vitamins down you, eat pleanty of fruit esp bannanas (they are a happy fruit full of potassium!) try some 5htp/ st johns wort. Think of all the chemicals that are being depleted in your brain through using Mdma help your body make up for that loss.

Once you get back on it it will as good as it was. Hope you get fixted up soon matey.

check this out mate, sounds like what you've got? you been taking any valium or anything like that recently?

"Brain zaps" and "electric shock sensations"Symptoms described as "brain zaps", "brain shocks," "brain shivers" or "head shocks" are a withdrawal symptom experienced during discontinuation (or reduction of dose) of antidepressant drugs.[9][10] The symptoms are widely variable in description and of unknown etiology;[10] common descriptions include dizziness, electric shock-like sensations, sweating, nausea, insomnia, tremor, confusion, and vertigo.[9][10] The MedDRA "preferred term" for coding these types of symptoms in adverse drug reaction reports (for use in pharmacovigilance databases such as under the Yellow Card Scheme), is paraesthesia.[11][12]

In a 1997 survey, a "sizable minority" of medical professionals were not confidently aware of the existence of antidepressant withdrawal symptoms.[13] A 2005 review of adverse event reporting showed that descriptions of "electric shocks" from patients on paroxetine had been reported more frequently than some other symptoms.[11]Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor discontinuation syndrome - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSRI_discontinuation_syndrome#.22Brain_zaps.22_and _.22electric_shock_sensations.22)
