I was there, but in a car, under a duvet. Ridgeway is great first location to pop ur free partying cherry :)
Oxfordshire is generally a good area for parties esp with the summer edging its way in!

welcome to pv !

went to this was great :) did a total of 5/6 hours driving though as was going to the free party near stone henge, that got closed down before the rig van could even unload.

got to the ridgeway just as the rig was being set up about 3 or 4 in the morning. stayed till about 6 on the sunday night. i know it was still going on round about 6 on the monday.

Police only came down a total of 2 or 3 times

was a great atmosphere and a great party

RIP to the girl that crahsed her car on the way home, she leaves a 3month old baby, her boyfriend is still in intensive care.

Remember ravers, stop taking anything hours before you plan to leave. its not just your life you are messing with but its the people in your car, your families there families and anyone around you

Peace

this used to be my old stomping ground - whilst it was a good party I do think the area's a bit rinsed - and the RTC is going to have repercussions.

Glad that Soek and friends got back safe - its a long mission and the A12 is one of the most fucking boring roads in the country, easy for your driver to nod off if he/she is a bit sketchy and tired..

the reason there weren't many cops there is that only certain TVP units are trusted to get their vehicles to the Ridgeway without trashing them too badly - they are the "Tango Victor's" - if any of you watch the Road Wars telly programme you might have seen them.

In the early-mid 2000s when my friends were organising events in this area we actually got on OK with these cops; they are specialist Roads Policing officers and their priority is keeping the roads safe.

What they did say they would take action against was wanton damage to buildings (I think one went from Traffic to CID and took a big interest in bringing people to justice for damage to venues), and also anything dodgy on the roads like people driving badly due to sleep deprivation or drugs.

Unfortunately now this has happened - and even if it didn't occur in TVP area (I did check the press office website but couldn't find any 100% similar incidents although there is one possible) eventually it will be fed back to TVP that this prang was a consequence of the rave being held in their area.

Hi all,
I am majorly keen on raving and do it a lot at uni, I live near the ridgeway in berkshire/oxfordshire and always can hear raves going on! where are they? anyway to find out when and where they are going to happen?? I even went to the extreme tonight (after hearing one) and drove around trying to find it so I could join in but no luck!
