that's quite a record! i hope it wasn't all work... i've certainly had plenty of enjoyment (from the extensive photo gallery and new radio) and found a ton of interesting things to chew over, not to mention just plain good answers to questions! :biggreen:

all in all, a winner :cloud9: :horay:

that would be ruud..we've been talking about a partyvibe event, there is that event on the 21st by tvc, id love to goif i can scape some cash, then plan something heavy for the summer?

i got a bit carried away with a doodle i was doing, i scanned it to put it up, and now it bears the hallmarks of photoshop use under the influence of cannabis at its most stereotypical...what the fuck kind of colours are these?

anyway, itds my early birthday card for partyvibe..i'l try and knock up a less gaudy version for some projections at the birthday bash!

Whate date exactly is the birthday, we could try an get just a bunch or parties running on that date all over the country, obviously with no connection to partyvibe....just a coincidence.

PV has been around for half the current life of the rave scene and has pretty much grown with it - I remember when it was a static site and you had to e-mail contributions up to it using normal voice telephone lines, or on occasions I would use a mobile and laptop (at the time I was working as a systems integrator in IT and it was the height of the dotcom boom - lets say a lot of corporate IT resources and time was diverted to the use of the party crews in those days)

you can actually chart the massive boom in raves just before and after the millenium into about 2003 or so by looking at the old threads on here and other pictures (ending in 2004 with the locals backlash, clampdowns and PEL licensing busts in UK and Europe)

that said I think these events are ingrained in worldwide popular culture now and they will always happen in one shape or form; although it is going to take a lot of compromise and negotiation between various sections of the community if some countries are not going to see serious civil conflict because of them; notwithstanding the danger that recreational drug use championed by raves can become problem drug use....

I do think raves grew up with the internet and the two are intrinsically linked....

Happy Birthday Partyvibe!

Well, ITSy BITSy Soundsystem aren't partying this weekend. We will be out with some friends the following one, so that gives us another thing to celebrate.

Partyvibe has done a wicked job of recording the evolution of the party scene and I'm sure it will continue to do so. It's important that continues as soundsystems face more pressure than ever.

if u r looking at puttin a bday party i could hav a word with the manager of Lakota (Bristol) about doin a free party at the venue. Should b able to get it for fuck all then. I know peeps arent from around bristol and u would prob look for a venue more central so all members would roughly hav the same dist to travel, but i should b able to wangle the venue if needed.
