WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?

Some problems, like the suffering of the innocent, have vexed the minds of the greatest Christian theologians down the centuries. Isn't this an insuperable barrier to belief in a good God? How can you give any Made Easy answers to such block-busting questions?

ADMIT THE SIZE OF THE PROBLEM

There are some difficulties which do not appear to have any satisfactory answers. In humility, we have to admit this. On the next few pages we will examine some of these tough questions.

MAKE USE OF THE LIGHT YOU HAVE

1. STUDY THE BIBLE

Some of the "Tough Questions" will be fully and satisfactorily answered in the Bible.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

2. REFLECT ON THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS AND THE PRINCIPLES UNDERLYING HIS TEACHINGS.

When people ask: "What is God like?" Christians reply,, "Look at Jesus. Look at His life, His healings, His teachings, His death and resurrection." When people ask: "What does Christianity teach?" Christians reply, "Check and see what Jesus the supreme Teacher had to say on this topic".

3. RELY ON THE HOLY SPIRIT

"The philosophers of old made reason the sole ruler of man and listened only to her, as the arbiter of conduct. But Christians make reason move aside and give complete submission to the Holy Spirit." John Calvin

Ask for the Holy Spirit's help as you tackle these "Hard Questions".

4. DISCUSS THESE TOUGH QUESTIONS WITH CHRISTIAN FRIENDS

If you belong to a Christian group discuss some of these questions together.

WHAT'S THE CONCLUSION?

Christians have a duty to answer (to the best of their ability) any genuine questions about their faith.

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

A QUOTE TO CHEW OVER

so if someone tells u 1 +1 = 1, but you wish to believe 1 + 1 = 5 then if you keep thinking about it, read a few speculative books on vaguly relevent subjects and talk to enough people who also wish 1 + 1 = 5 then the awnser will become truth.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV
also study the history of the bible and study history in general without a biast point of view and look at how the "actual bible" is hidden by the the very people that claim to be god's messangers ... and only the parts of the original scripture are put in the book that is now called the bible. not the whole thing as what is in the original scripture that the bible you read is taken from wich actualy goes against christianity every one belives in ... hence the reason why it is hidden away and not common knolage .. alltho people do know about it otherwise i wouldn't .. thing is people are so wound up in beliving something cos if they dont they will go to hell .. they are to scared to doubt it ... controll of the masses my dear .. it hurts me to say .. but it's true

2. REFLECT ON THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS AND THE PRINCIPLES UNDERLYING HIS TEACHINGS.

When people ask: "What is God like?" Christians reply,, "Look at Jesus. Look at His life, His healings, His teachings, His death and resurrection." When people ask: "What does Christianity teach?" Christians reply, "Check and see what Jesus the supreme Teacher had to say on this topic".

how many people claim to have spoken to god these days? loads ... the world goes back millions of years b4 the human race was born .. yes even b4 adam and eve. why is it that only humans have "the right" to be affiliated with god .. i know all animals are gods creatures but what makes us any better than the other animals? .. is it that we have an IMAGINATION ? ... you tell me what god is like .. and what jezus is like .. i bet you think jezus was a pale white guy .. well actualy he was dark skined like the rest of the people that were born/lived in the area at the time ... how many pale white isralies do you know? as to what jesus taught .. well i agree with the idea that we should all be good to one and other .. that is a given ... but to denounce the right of freedom of thought to some higher entaty .. sounds a bit like some one is tring to controll you to me .. doesn't it sound funny to you that some one who cares for you sooo much (god) would hold you back and deny you of all the things you want?

3. RELY ON THE HOLY SPIRIT

"The philosophers of old made reason the sole ruler of man and listened only to her, as the arbiter of conduct. But Christians make reason move aside and give complete submission to the Holy Spirit." John Calvin

Ask for the Holy Spirit's help as you tackle these "Hard Questions".submission to the Holy Spiritsee my point? .. your submitting to some ones will ... not gods .. but the people who want you to think like this so they can controll you .. the church ...
how do you think that the chuch as an organisation made all there fancie churches? .. with gold and all that expensive crap .. ? ... did god give it to them? ... no you did and all the other people that follow the religon .. they paied for it out of there pocket ... the church earns millions off of people ... they are power/money crazed maniacs ..and unfortunatly good people like you get caught up in it all ...

4. DISCUSS THESE TOUGH QUESTIONS WITH CHRISTIAN FRIENDS

If you belong to a Christian group discuss some of these questions together.i discuss this stuff with every one .. there doesn't have to just be one opinion about things .. people should be alowed to have there own opinion .. wether it be a christian one or not

WHAT'S THE CONCLUSION?

Christians have a duty to answer (to the best of their ability) any genuine questions about their faith.

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15i like that quote it's not intrusive and sais what i said in the line above. alltho i dont understand the "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord." bit but i guess thats just a christian thing ... fair enuff you have your own belifes and you should respect otheres .. but what i have found many a time is that very religous people will argue there point till blue in the face even without reason .. there have even been WARS because of this ... i am not holding the normal religos person to blame for this .. just the leaders of these religons ... the fact that peop0le are folowing people like this in it's self is just sooo wrong!

A QUOTE TO CHEW OVER

"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth." John 16:13

.....more to follow

- Hard Questions about christianity made easy (Hendrickson)thats the misconseption that alot of religos people have .. that they know the truth ... there are a million and one religeons that belive in certain things all disregarding other religeons .. how can they all be right? .. or is it just christianity that is right? .. personaly i opt out of all the bull ... i may not know the truth ... but tbh i dont think any one will for along time as we as meer mortals don't have the technology/mind set or what ever to realise that it's things like religeon and power and money in the exsess to what it plays a part in our world today that fuck every thing up

i apreciate the fact that you quit smack and having something else to concentrate on like your religon helped massively .. but i know people that dont belive in god, alla, budda or what ever and still quit smack .. and you know what .. all of them had to find some thing else to take there minds off the smack habbit ... as i have said b4 .. if it works for you then good .. but you need to give yourself credit .. god didn't give up smack .. i never read that part of the bible .. you did ... please for the love of god dont be blind to this:group_hug

Wow....you sure took a lot of time on that one!

Of course I don't think Jesus was a pale white guy!!!!!! :you_crazy

And I am not blind - I WAS when I was saying I was an atheist and trying to do things MY own way......

And I was able to stop using only because I let God work in me......not something I can easily explain - I had to actually go throught it for myself before I could understand.

The church I go to is certainly NOT fancy..no gold or gems there! It's in a strip mall.......I do not agree with the Vatican and all that.

Again, Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth and the Life..no one can come to the Father except through Me. I dson't recall Buddha or Krishna or Vishnu or Allah saying that...plus they didn't ride from the dead and get seen by 500 people afterwards.

This book I am using covers many of these types of controversial topics.....just sit tight!

This book I am using covers many of these types of controversial topics.....just sit tight!

If you believe these things you shouldn't need a book to help you counter arguments, it only shows you don't fully understand what you believe, which in turn only shows you to be ignorant. And being ignorant and trying to convince people to turn to the lord via the power of your argument is (in my mind) rather foolish. Perhaps you should try this "mass conversion of English ravers for the good of the people" when you understand your own arguments better?

You could even argue that because you don't understand things as well as perhaps you could, you are having a negative impact. People may read the many posts you have put, see that you do not respond to counter arguments and theory's (or if you do its usually with distraction and counter questions), and be turned away from God.

I also wounder if when God spoke about doing good things (i do not believe he did, but i think you do) he meant doing a little more than effectively shouting repetitive statements someone else has taught you to people who generally do not wish to listen (and if they do listen they wish to engage you in debate which you seem unable to respond to).

I just want to be countered! There is no way I can win a theological argument on religion, i am no where near well enough read, i want to be told why I'm wrong and how, because I'm sure someone more experienced could otherwise you religion wouldn't have lasted as long as it has (though i fear its popularity outside the bible belt is rather dwindling).

I'm sorry if i seem rude, i do not mean to, i just wish to understand more and cannot let you state a load of feeling as fact without at least attempting to discuss it.

Fair enough....I can debate just fine, but there are others who I agree 100 % with who are far more knowledgeable on the subject. I am no theologian by any means.....just a survivor of drug addiction who feels called to the UK. I wish I could actually get there in person and help - someday I will - but the funds are just not there. British culture fascinates me - from Medieval times to now.

I will do the best I can, but just know I am NOT a preacher!

So why come on this site acting like one? If you want to debate then fair enough. From where I'm sitting you're just spouting a load of bollocks that you've read in a book somewhere.

Many people on this site have gone through various forms of drug addiction. There are many ways to pull yourself out. If you ask me religion is one of the easier ones. Try doing it without some almighty being watching over you!

As for telling me that:

"The philosophers of old made reason the sole ruler of man and listened only to her, as the arbiter of conduct. But Christians make reason move aside and give complete submission to the Holy Spirit." John Calvin

Then that's really not helping. Basically what you're saying is that the 'old philosphers' actually thought about things, weighed up the different points of view and then came to a decision based on logic and reason.

But actually what we should be doing is putting all that aside and live our lives according to some book that got written 2000 years ago, which was written by man and essentially used as a tool to control people.

Great. Where do I sign up?

:) this seems like a good moment to end this tit for tat play with syemantics (with that last line of yours we could go on for ever). I wish you the best of luck and what not, but perhaps head to ozz rather than the uk, its far sunnyer (and im told amercians believe we sound the same ;p). oh and congratulations for over-coming your addiction tis a tricky thing to do, whatever method you chose.

oh I'm not giving up! I really believe I am supposed to be on here! And I was just using books because those people are more learned than me...I know what I believe, just can't always put it into words so correctly!

Dinosaurs......they're in there somewhere! In Isaiah ther's mention of Leviathan, being a sea monster who could also fly, like a dragon.....I believe that was a type of dinosaur.

i seriously suggest you read the book 'The God Delusion' (Richard Dawkins)
it may be difficult for you to read, but truth matters.

Do you take the bible literally?

A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortuneteller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death. (Leviticus 20:27 NAB)

If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)

When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property. (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her. (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT)

You would think that Jesus and the New Testament would have a different view of slavery, but slavery is still approved of in the New Testament, as the following passages show.

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)

Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!

6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.

4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."

3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.

2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.

1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!
But He loves you.(George Carlin)

Good grief! I would be up all night refuting all that!!!!

George Carlin is in hell right now btw.

The Law set forth in the OT as far as killing people for things like adultery...it is to show us what we DESERVE....Jesus did away with all that when He died on the cross. If you reject what He did for you, then by default you are going to have to face the consequences of your sin, which is DEATH - eternally without hope.

Of course it said slavery in the NT - it was practiced in that time!!!! That does NOT mean that Christianity condones slavery!!!

As far as that huge long list....I will get into that tomorrow.

And YES I AM A FUNDAMENTALIST CHRISTIAN!!!! That is NOT the same as a Fundamentalist Islam....when was the last time you saw a Christian preacher with bombs strapped to his body????

and before anyone says 'oh see, she can't do it, she admits she's wrong'.....I printed up that very long list of supposed contradictions and am researching right now. I am already seeing how some of these are just flimsy excuses; if you take the Scriptures IN CONTEXT you will see what they are ACTUALLY saying.

This will take some time, am on number 5 now and getting sleepy.....

My fucking God. As much as I disagreed with you, I was always very much acceptant of your beliefs and indeed appreciated you posted them, if only because we could spark some debate.

But that statement is so fucking stupid, ignorant, pathetic and extremely hypocritical.... I don't even know where to start.

Let us know if you want us to tear you to pieces on that one, I'll be on the front line. And, for the record, I despise all religions equally.

when was the last time you saw a Christian preacher with bombs strapped to his body????

its mostly the angry young men, not the preachers what do this (preachers are too smart and cowardly to risk their lives) - and in our country the Christian preachers taught the lads to leave the bomb behind rather than blow themselves up as well, that way they can be ready to build the next one.

we actually had 30 years of war and 3000 dead from religious violence between two Christian sects in the UK, in my living memory, funded in part by Christian Americans, and the conflict is actually still simmering.

I'm wondering why you highlight this?

isnt it all just the same stuff but re-branded and re-packaged to try and appeal to a difference audience / sub culture ?

is god and jesus now a trendy accessory?

i thought the same.

i think the vast majority of the people on this site are very open minded and are very much aware that sterotypes arent correct.

it doesnt 'shock' me, or change my opinions, that he is a christian with tatoos.

I brought that up because of someone saying that the closest thing you have in the UK is Quakers. For some reason some of you seemed to see me as a preacher in a fancy cathedral! Just wanted to dispel that notion.....and it is the Underground Church - for those who do not feel welcome in mainstream churches.

sorry I phrased it that way.....over here everyone is equating the Fundamental Christians with radical Islam!!!!! I am truly sorry I lumped y'all in with that, pls forgive me. And the violence in Ireland is WRONG - period. Jesus NEVER meant for His followers to kill each other!

That statement was just a retort to that post about stereotypes of Fundamental Christians......sorry I misspoke.

my mums mates are quakers and I cant imagine they are anything like your church TBH, and I can imagine her not agreeing with all this hell and damnation stuff....
from my experience they are quiet and reflective and acknowledge their beliefs are not the only way, they meet in the 'friends meeting' place - so again not some fancy church or cathederal

Quakers share a way of life rather than a set of

beliefs. Quakers seek to experience God directly, within

ourselves and in our relationships with others and the world

around us. We meet together for silent worship in local

meetings which are open to all.

The Quaker way has its roots in Christianity and finds

inspiration in the Bible and the life and teachings of Jesus.

Quakers also find meaning and value in the teachings of

other faiths; we acknowledge that ours is not the only way.

Our focus is on our experience rather than written

statements of belief. Our sense of community does not

depend on professing identical beliefs, but from worshipping,

sharing and working together.

Our Quaker faith springs from the experience that

each one of us can have a direct relationship with the

Divine.

We find that by meeting together for communal worship we

are empowered to find peace and strength for work in the

world. The Quaker testimonies to peace, equality, simplicity

and truth are a challenge to alleviate suffering and seek

positive social change.

8. God is all powerful
Jer 32:27/ Matt 19:26

God is not all powerful not toally clear in this passage....perhaps the men
Judg 1:19 were relying on weapons more than on God?

9. God is unchangeable
James 1:17/ Mal 3:6/ Ezek 24:14/ Num 23:19

God is changeable God was grieved that men had become
Gen 6:6/ Jonah 3:10/ 1 Sam 2:30,31/ 2 Kings 20:1,4,5,6/ so evil, Noah influenced Him to
Ex 33:1,3,17,14 change His mind....the people
repented, fasted and prayed...the
people ignored Him...the people had
changed not God...Moses intervened...
Hezekiah repented

10. God is just and impartial
Ps 92:15/ Gen 18:25/ Deut 32:4/ Rom 2:11/ Ezek 18:25

God is unjust and partial saw Noah naked.....God will not put up Gen 9:25/ Ex 20:5/ Rom 9:11-13/ Matt 13:12 with false idols...see Romans 9:14...
John the Baptist was martyred...how is this showing God is changeable?

some of these Scriptures are taken out of context...if you simply read on the answer becomes clear...as in Romans 9:11-14

I will have page 2 (of 15) later......

omg did you hear george carlin was in hell from that fucking asshole from westboro baptist church????!!!!!!!!! (FRED PHELPS IS GOING TO HELL)

Fred Phelps and his family are the only ones going to hell. USA christianity uses the most cripling emotion to push their believes onto others, FEAR.

WTF are the chances of you getting the correct religion? even the correct type of christianity!!

if you do not know of the westboro baptist church you will have alot of fun watching their videos on youtube. GOING OUTSIDE DEAD SOLIDERS FUNERALS AND PROTESTING WITH 5 YEAR OLDS WITH BANNERS SAYING 'GOD HATES FAGS' and other horrible things.

watch the westboro baptist church on Jeremy Kyle!! classic!

my mums mates are quakers and I cant imagine they are anything like your church TBH, and I can imagine her not agreeing with all this hell and damnation stuff....
from my experience they are quiet and reflective and acknowledge their beliefs are not the only way, they meet in the 'friends meeting' place - so again not some fancy church or cathederal

spot on

i used to go to quaker meetings occasionally, although i never became a member

the only belief that a quaker was expected to have was a belief in pacifism

and they always met in a public building that was used for other thigs during the week... ie. they didn't have their own space

so what this mental american as blathering on about just proves that she is totally uninformed about other faith groups and draws on stereotypes to justify herself

the worst kind of religious person that there is IMO

Ach, yes I know the ones u mean....THEY ARE WRONG!!!!!

As for picking the right kind of Christianity....if what you are believing in/doing is NOT BIBLICAL, it is NOT CHRISTIANITY!!!!!

If those people do not repent, yes they ARE going to end up in hell! Not everyone who call on God will be saved.....God sees the HEART!

BTW, just thought of it another way....God will not force Himself on anyone, so if you do not choose Him, when you die you get your wish - eternity without Him. It may sound good now.....wouldn't be so sure when it comes down to it tho.

I agree with GL that (from my limited knowledge) of the quakers they are 'very informal, no rituals - freestyle worship',

but I was highlighting the difference I see
(from looking up your church on tinternet)

about what your all about compaired to quakers and it seems mighty different to me
- hell and damnation - and preaching your way as the only way.....

here in England we already have trendy churches with rock music etc and even the Established Church (church of England) has tried to be a bit more right on...

there are youth missions for teenagers and you do get vicars what try to be more "down with the youth", and who have come from more "urban" backgrounds. In particular we have street pastors who advise youths who have got themselves into trouble / overdone drink/drugs etc but they don't do a lot of overt preaching or quote the Bible at them.

it is a totally different culture in this nation. Those who wish to attend religious groups are free to do so (whether they are Christian religions or those of the Eastern nations) or people are free to lead a secular life.

If people wish to preach or set up any sort of church/temple/mosque they must do so in accordance with wider societies rules (in public it is covered by council laws or what you call zoning laws). The laws are equal for all denomination.

Fundamentalist preaching in this country will either be ignored or investigated by the law enforcement authorities if there is the slightest suspicion that those involved are linked with any form or harrasment or violence.

People like those westboro baptists wouldn't last 5 minutes here, the cops would drag them away to the cells (maybe for their own safety as the locals wouldn't stand for it either).

The Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) is a church headed

by fred phelps and based in Kansas USA The organization is

monitored by the anti defamation league and is classified as

a hate group

The church runs numerous websites such as

GodHatesFags.com, GodHatesAmerica.com and others

expression of comdemnation of homosexuality roman

catholics, muslims and jews , as well as populations it

believes are supporting the aforementioned groups, including

chinese, swedes, canadians, irish, british , mexicans and

americans.

Although well-known in LGBT communities for pickerting gay

pride events and funerals, the group achieved national

notoriety for picketing funeral processions for soldiers killed

in action during the iraq war

The church bases its work around the belief expressed by

its best known slogan and the address of its primary

website, "God hates fags," and expresses the idea that

every tragedy in the world is linked to homosexuality

specifically society's increasing tolerance and acceptance of

the "homosexual adgenda " The group maintains that God

hates homosexuals above all other kinds of "sinners" and

that homosexuality should be a capital crime

Here are the quotes from Jesus that proves that he lied:

1) And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen. "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:21-22 NAS)

2) Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 NAB)

3) Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst. (Matthew 18:19-20 NAS)

4) Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him. Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours. (Mark 11:24-25 NAB)

5) And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Luke 11:9-13 NAB)

6) And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13-14 NAB)

7) If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. (John 15:7 NAB)

8) It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you. (John 15:16 NAB)

9) On that day you will not question me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. (John 16:23-24 NAB)

A lot of Christians ignore what Jesus actually says in the Bible. They also tend to add things to the actual words to make them say something else. If you honestly and truthfully read these quotes, without adding to them, it is very easy to see that Jesus is not saying that God will think about your prayers. He says God will grant all your prayers. Clearly, God doesn’t grant all prayers and this proves that Jesus was a habitual liar.

you really do have to be stupid to not believe all the evidence that proves its not real.

the funny thing is, any atheist or agnostic would convert to religion ANYDAY if the evidence was obvious, like no god..... and evolution....

relgious people LIKE TO PICK AND CHOOSE WHICH QUOTES TO BELIEVE which is fucking stupid....

If a man still prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall say to him, "You shall not live, because you have spoken a lie in the name of the Lord." When he prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall thrust him through. (Zechariah 13:3 NAB)

Then, with Micah's idols and his priest, the men of Dan came to the town of Laish, whose people were peaceful and secure. They attacked and killed all the people and burned the town to the ground. There was no one to rescue the residents of the town, for they lived a great distance from Sidon and had no allies nearby. This happened in the valley near Beth-rehob.Then the people of the tribe of Dan rebuilt the town and lived there. They renamed the town Dan after their ancestor, Israel's son, but it had originally been called Laish. (Judges 18:27-29 NLT)

(Note that God approves of this slaughter in verse 6.)

wow your delusion is strong! i hope there is an afterlife so you will be laughed at for believing such shit!! pick and choose pick and choose, c'mon the book is fucking disgraceful and i hope you see the real 'LIGHT'

christians dont like the stuff i post cos it conflicts with there delusions, so you block it out and try to rationalize the stuff in the most ridiculous ways.

fear is a horrible weapon to use against people to make them believe shit.
religion is no longer needed in this world as morality and law comes naturally to the majority of people.

bad people do bad things..... religion makes good people do bad things

eg the man who got the death penalty for killing a guy who worked at an abortion clinic and his bodyguard, and the christian thinks hes going straight to heaven?? what a delusional asshole, they're fucking embryos!

You are not going to be banned from this forum - we believe in free speech, which is more than certain religious figures do!

wow polygon....no the Bible is NOT disgraceful! Pick n choose? Those 'contradictions' are what is all random/picked apart! And while I do believe that abortion is murder, I DO NOT agree that harming those at abortion clinics is right!!!! Have you ever heard of a 'silent siege'????? It's where u go and simply stand outside a clinic with the wod LIFE taped over your mouth....you just silently pray and in no way attempt to influence anyone...THAT is what my church does.

boothy - i suggest chat bc this threads getting a bit long......

that is sick. you are sick. you are a sick and twisted person who needs psychiatric help.

that reminds me of cases where irish christians have prevented underage girls with down syndrome who have got pregnant through rape from travelling out of ireland (where abortion is illegal) to anywhere else in europe to get an abortion.. then when the baby has been born the church has abandoned them

i have no problem with anyone holding their own personal beliefs ... but all organised religion makes me giddy and sick with the utter stupidity of it.

you say that believe in an omnipotent being that consciously created the entire universe and everything in it. then you arrogantly state that your tiny, monkey brain can even begin to contemplate what such a being had in mind?

PUH-LEASE!

get out. you are a nonsense. get some education and sort yourself out.

In England, this would be known as religiously aggravated harrasment.

First the clinic staff would ask you to move on. Then a bobby or two will arrive. if the cops decide to let you carry on your protest (and it is at their discretion) you will be moved a fair bit further away from the clinic.

if you refuse to move, they will arrest you. Our "friendly bobby" with no pistol or carbine can very quickly be substituted with a more "robust" unit of officers in public order (riot) gear, and in extreme circumstances a specialist armed unit (although this is thankfully very rare)

in our country people do not have this "right" to protest in such a way that they harrass others, whatever the campaign (religion, environment, animal rights etc..)

WOW - I guess I must be doing something right to be hated this much!!!! Praise God I am being persecuted for His sake!!!!

HOW is simply STANDING outside a clinic HARRASSMENT???? In fact these groups have to sign WAIVERS stating that they are not to do ANYTHING that would be constituted as such!!!!!! It is all perfectly legal and PEACEFUL - how can you even begin to liken it to someone forcibly detaining someone from an abortion????? If you look up 'silent sieges' you will see - NOTHING is forced!!!!

I can't believe how hateful you are being!

I know you SAY you don't need saving...OK fine. I am not giving up - I am entitled to be on here and express my opinion. Iasnt's there a rule that says slander is not allowed???? Believe or not as you choose, but do you have to call me names????:hopeless:
