It is very tempting but the weather isnt looking too great and i dont have any contacts up in scotland either so finding out the details might be a right knightmare. On the other hand i didnt make it to Gashfest or the Manchester tech thingy so i shall give it some consideration. Plus iv never been to scotland so it would be worth it just for some sight see'ing.

Hmm Glasgow area to Sheffield is not Hampshire to the Highlands... it takes us 4.5 to 5 hrs from Edinburgh to get to MD

It's at least at 10 hrs journey if you know where you're going from Hampshire to MD

yeh i guess it is a bit more of a journey :yakk: and 5 hours from edinburgh :crazy: directions i have say it takes 3 from glasgow,didnt realise it would be so much more from edinburgh

It's nearer 4 hrs from Glasgow as I used to live there and travelled up. The 4 hrs is if you're able to travel at max speed, the roads up are all twisty winding country roads that you really can't over take on. If you get stuck behind a lorry or caravan it can take a lot longer...

But a beautiful journey up... the scenery is amazing
