When we advertise for a new worker i have to read dozens of cv. Keep it to two sides of a4 and don't just have one cv that you send off. The best trick is to write one and then amended it for each job. Most jobs have a list of things you need to be capable of doing so make sure you say that you can do those things. It might seem obvious but after spending a mourning reading crap about people's grannies or climbing some mountain, it makes you wonder. Good luck, I know it can be crappy putting lots of effort for a job when 9 out 10 times you don't hear anything back.

It was for one job so i geared it towards that, did a bit of reasearch and that.
Fingers crossed:bounce_fl:bounce_g:

also don't use an email address which contains any part of your screenname on forums like this.

In the more "competitive" jobs the HR people will google your email address to see what sort of things you get up to in your spare time. also be careful about accepting new random "friends" if you use facebook...

Nah my e-mails my real name, I never give it out on any forum's.
In fact not many people know my real name cos i get called my nickname most of the time which is different to my screen name.
Wow i'm like a spy:weee:

The jobs in the us of a so anything associated with drugs would not be good for my chances!
but on face book i'm squeeky cleen anyway:wink:

sometimes it pays to be like that - at least until you reach a state of stability in your career where people accept you for what you are (now I'm free to talk about my past, but it wouldn't have done me much good in Whitehall..) , and I'd given up involvement in illegal raves anyway at the end of 2005...

Hope this helps, keep it clear, concise, avoid waffle and long sentences. No more than two pages. And at the risk of stating the obvious - spell check it, proof read it at least 4 times and make sure your grammar/punctuation is sound. Oh yes, avoid bid fat lies as well, unless the blag is blagable.
