yet more needless petty government interference in people's lives

Mark Jacobsen, chairman of the BCD, a nationwide association of coffee shop owners, said proper implementation of the law would require inspectors to check each cannabis joint for tobacco content. "It's absurd. In other countries they look to see whether you have marijuana in your cigarette, here they'll look to see if you've got cigarette in your marijuana."

The nanny state really pisses me off at times.

I spoke to loads of pub owners in the UK prior to the smoking ban and virtually all of them said that they would like to decide for themselves whether to allow smoking in their premises. Being told how to run your own public house is bs.

I'm in favour of the smoking ban now. Specially in restaurants, it's nice being able to eat without having smoke blown in your face. :yakk:

tbh cliffy i a like the non-smoking environment even though i smoke. i really noticed a lot when i went to a night club for the first time after the ban. i just get a bit pissy about the state 'looking after us' all the time.

I still smoke on and off. Although trying to give up again, This is the third time this year. Pubs are a bit iffy for me, I used to like being able to fart and hide it behind the tobacco smell. Now i can't do it anymore!
