Old Style

I've looked at the code for the old Boom and Work Shy styles and I don't see why I couldn't update them myself. So it's possible you'll have them available again shortly. All of which just leaves the question of whether we should keep the new style as the default or go back to Boom? What do you think?

Keep the new and let the members who want boom back choose it in the drop down box like you could before

I didn't like the old green one, I used to use the blue and white one. I'm getting used to this one now..

I'm not talking about losing the new functionality just going back to the old color scheme. I like the new but I don't think it work for some important areas like the chat room and download sections...

actually i prefer the old one seeing it again.

for the workshy theme tho id say to not have any pictures or smilies on it just the text, but thats just me tho cause i am slack at work!:wink:

As you can see I've taken us back to the old style now by default now. Having been able to adapt it myself I decided it was best thing to do given some of the problems the new style was causing with the pages breaking at smaller screen sizes, hard to read / small fonts, also the downloads section and chat room being less usable in my opinion. Anyway I hope you understand why I made the decision. I try not to take decisions arbitrarily but I have to balance the needs of the community as a whole. Anyway the now "new old" style and Work Shy are both available as options from the styles chooser at the bottom left of the page...

its way better IMO having the new features with the old style

I had to turn up the font size on the new one and it made me just feel ancient, like a old man trying to work this "new fangled computer"

anyway now everyones got choice of which one they select....

I'm keeping the new grey style. Just got used to it and I quite like having all the access points on the side.

Also I believe in moving forward, and embracing changes!!

Thanks for giving us the choice Doc :) The blue wasted too much screen space in threads with the massive long poster identity panel. And there were some "green" features I never did find the link for in "blue", like "go to first unread message" from the threads index ...
